Bruce Hills Golf Club
About
Bruce Hills Golf Course is located in the north metro Detroit area near Romeo. Mature trees are scattered throughout the course, providing shade and a peacefully secluded feel. The par-70 layout is relatively short at only 5,630 yards form the back tees, making it an ideal round for beginners but it still provides good practice and a quick round for more advanced players. The golf course sprawls across a diverse terrain that allows for downhill and uphill approaches to the small, round greens, which are often sloped from back to front. Keeping the ball below the hole is the key to scoring well on this golf course. Bruce Hills' player-friendly layout only has four bunkers but water comes into play on 12 holes, providing the bulk of the course's challenges.

One of the best around.
The condition of this course is awesome, greens are mowed perfect and are actually green for how dry it’s been. You can play 18 holes for like 27-30 bucks during the week which is a very very good deal. This is my favorite course to play locally on golf now. Please please keep this course up how it’s been and don’t let it fall behind like most of the others around here.
Nice course, fun layout, Great views.
Tricky fun little course, many tough crowned greens, this year it was in the best condition I ever saw it in. I learned how to golf 50 years ago at Bruce when it only had 9 holes and never saw it in such good shape. But you should look around as you play it, now many prettier places in the try counties.
Perfect day
Bruce Hills has a great staff and services from the pro shop when we checked in to the beer/liquor lady. Great service, reasonable price and great course.
Much Improved
The course received a lot of water when we had a lot of rain. Once that stopped the fairways are nice and so are the greens. The par 5 7th is now great and a long good drive no longer gets punished
They should do it with the 5th as well
The teeing gourds in a few holes need to be improved though it is far better than before
Overall a great value for money and challenging holes to make it a nice experience
Had a super fun day
Got a hot deal on mother's day....great day to go, course was completely empty. My first time there, course was in good shape and I had a great time. I'll be back!
Customer Service is A-1
While you can't control other people: speed of play and people cutting from the back 9 to the front 9 to get extra holes for free I had a pretty solid round despite not playing #14. I had to skip to #15 because a foursome that caught up to from 2+ holes behind them didn't undertand play through etiquette. SMH
The staff was stellar! And the food that I had after my round was fantastic! And I'm one of those food people, not quite a foodie, but I like good food. The (hot) dog I received had EVERYTHING I could've asked for on it. And I had the option to get WAFFLE FRIES with it to boot. Say YES!!!
Nice course that should be checked out
2nd time here, very enjoyable course. If you've never played you should come out.
Sad to see
Course is in rough shape. Very compacted Fairways and around greens. Ball lying on clay in between scarce blades on grass, quite often. Rough day chipping to say the least. Crowned tee boxes looked like they hadn't been touched in weeks. Sad to see, was a favorite of ours. Rate reflects a get what you pay for morning. Seems to be a trend. Waiting for the rate hike. Same thing happened at Golden Hawk last couple years. Coincidence?
