Chandler Park Golf Course

At one time a nice course. Great history!! But now something is askew. The super must not know his job? Rouge is in great shape!! 2 years in a row went on Memorial weekend. MY GOD WHAT A DUMP!!!! This year on the Saturday before the weekend the grounds crew "took the day off"!!! Greens not cut, tee markers not moved, greens full of Maple tree pods! They obviously do NOT care!! Excuse of no money does not fly!! Vargo does Rouge also and what a GREAT course!! Chandler..........maybe time to give it up? Stay away and save the money!
P.S. On May 23 the bunkers had not been touched!! I mean not touched!!! Weeds 2 feet high!!! Laughable if not so sad:(((

Always fun, great atmoshere... There's a great camraderie around the clubhouse.
Rounds can be REALLY slow but that's just part of the reality of a course that gets this much play.

Overall it was a nice day on the course! The greens were in good condition and the rough was challenging.

I enjoy golfing at this course. It's forgiving on alot of holes and has some challenges too.

The greens were still airated. The bunkers were full of weeds and the sand was like cement. They were cutting the greens between 9am and 12 on a Sunday. The fairways were all tore up. Worst course I ever played.

Good city course. Fun to play. Friendly staff. need new sand in bunkers.

I arrived first on the course before my tee time so I could play solo and at a quick pace. The downside to this was that I had to wait on a couple holes for the groundskeepers to replace the hole, and the mower to finish up on the green. Also, there were a few holes where the person replacing the holes showed up while I was putting and made a bunch of noise when I was trying to focus on my putt.

Straight and short front nine to get your round started out right. Back nine a little more challenging but still straight. Bunkers were more like hard mud pits and there wasn't much water. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition. There is no driving range but they do have a chipping area and nets to hit into. Large putting green if you get there early like I did. Don't be afraid to play in Detroit, secure parking and I never felt anything close to danger out on the course.

This is the place to go if you live on the Eastside of the English D. Golfers and staff friendly. Reasonable.

I took my Dad out, who hadn't played a full course yet. This was a nice time. The pace was perfect. The course is good for beginners to moderate players.

We arrived to see a car that had just gotten it's wheels and tires stolen while the owner played 18. Although it's a great course to practice on, it's not worth the risk with such weak security. It's not just about the parking lot -- if that can happen, anything else is also possible. Though it's close to my house, I won't be back. Sorry!

League playing ahead was taking too long. Based on that I will never play another Sunday at this course.

The accessabilty to Detroit is great and the course was in good condition. The pace of play really slowed later in the morning which was the only downside.

Good to return after a long time. Conditions were good, greens could be a little faster. Hard to gauge speed.

This was my first time out on the course and it played great. It is very open for those of us who aren't very good. Not in the best neighborhood but I felt safe the entire time. I'll definitely be back this summer.

Great course narrow fairways and very challenging greens but great course for bit of challenging putting.

I was behind a group and have never played a faster front nine. The back nine is average pace. All of the holes seem very straight, and the bunkers are basically unplayable. The only reason I'm giving this course a positive review is because it was so cheap and the staff were very nice and accommodating.
