Chandler Park Golf Course

Way too much goose droppings. Quite disgusting. It's usually not that bad. Friendly service.

Not sure what to say. The course has steadily declined for the past three years. Outside the baker's dozen things I'd do to improve the place, they have to make people feel secure. Unfortunately the east side does not have good golf. If it did...Chandler would not exist. It's partially due to the fact they are on a year by year contract. Partially.

Need some ball washers and trash cans out on the course. Rangers should monitor the entire course because I have been stuck behind 5 some son more than one occasion.

Lack of ball washers was striking. We have had a good deal of rain recently so there were a lot of areas which had water or mud in them.

Good course loused up years ago when the Ford Freeway was built.

You get what you pay for.

Now this is one of favorite courses to play in the city On this day the course was in terrible condition. Nothing was cut. The fairway was just as thick and high as the rough. The greens were not in good shape. I wish i was given a choice to on the non maintained course. It was a was of money.

This is not a great course. However, it is well maintained and a bargain for the money. It is close to where I live and provides me with the ability to get in a quick 18 without having to drive 2 hours round trip to get to a great course. It is relatively short, so I always play the blue/black tees to add a bit more to the distance. Just to be clear....I am recommending this course as a good place to stay in shape and for the money.

I've played this course hundreds of times over 30 years. Worst shape I've ever seen it. Greens are torched, fairways and bunkers riddled with weeds and Canadian Geese have taken over 3-4 greens and left dropping everywhere. Disgusting!

Never a ranger on the course so pace of play is always a problem. Had to skip all over the course to get in 18 holes otherwise we would have been looking at a 5 1/2 Hr. round.

Many of the greens were burnt there were multiple fareways that had huge holes dug by tractors for the sprinkler system. I have played this course over 100 times and it has never looked this bad. I felt paying $20 was too much. I have they can repair the course for next season because I don't this it can happen for the end of this season.

The rates are too high for the poor condition of this course the greens were burnt out the fairways barely cut just overall a very poorly kept the people running this course must be using it to take his money and nothing else city of Detroit City of Detroit need to find a management team that will care for the course they will surely make money if the course is kept up

Horrible fairways, tons of weeds, slightly off the fairway is basically no mans land...even with perfect drives I couldn't find my ball, not to mention when I knew where my ball was the two older "gentleman" who were wearing jeans and the other two who one was wearing all purple head to two, with his counterpart wearing all yellow head to two would literally take my ball...when I said um, I think that's mine they would just take it anyways lol. Course was super crowded, worst golf experience outing ever, not even worth the 15$ I paid.

This course is poorly kept, no marshalls to help keep the pace. Three hours to play front nine

People jumping holes staff just letting anyone go anywhere, very unorganized

Overall, course is in pretty good condition. Greens are slow--it is April after all--but roll true. Many of the 'bunkers' are now 'waste bunkers' with no sand...kinda lame, but overall, good value for your money

Do you want to just get out on a Saturday and shoot 18 holes for a decent rate this is the place. Very friendly staff didn't feel rushed. The courses are hit or miss some of the fairways are a little rough but for a beginner like me I'm not going to argue and for the price I paid.

Excellent course in a good condition. Great round in the heart of the city!

I've been playing Chandler Park for over 40 years and was severely disappointed in how poorly this course is being maintained. This decline has been very sudden in the past year. The sand traps have been allowed to grow in with weeds and grass, there were long grass clippings in the rough, the greens were long and slow, the cattails around the ponds had all been whacked down and left behind. The Friday evening golf league we played behind were extremely slow and lacked basic golf etiquette. On every green I was repairing a handful of ball marks. Find some where else to play and skip this course.

At one time a nice course. Great history!! But now something is askew. The super must not know his job? Rouge is in great shape!! 2 years in a row went on Memorial weekend. MY GOD WHAT A DUMP!!!! This year on the Saturday before the weekend the grounds crew "took the day off"!!! Greens not cut, tee markers not moved, greens full of Maple tree pods! They obviously do NOT care!! Excuse of no money does not fly!! Vargo does Rouge also and what a GREAT course!! Chandler..........maybe time to give it up? Stay away and save the money!
P.S. On May 23 the bunkers had not been touched!! I mean not touched!!! Weeds 2 feet high!!! Laughable if not so sad:(((

Always fun, great atmoshere... There's a great camraderie around the clubhouse.
Rounds can be REALLY slow but that's just part of the reality of a course that gets this much play.

Overall it was a nice day on the course! The greens were in good condition and the rough was challenging.
