Golfer Reviews
I have played here many times over the years and the last time I was there a couple years ago it was in very bad shape because of Vargo golf. This new company that is taking over the golf course has done an excellent job at repairing the damage that was done by the previous management company greens were in great shape staff was friendly place was clean trees were cut down I should say bushes were cut down look great good value for the money
Decent Course. Poor Conditions
Course is extremely wet. But otherwise was in decent shape.
Course was wet
No carts on the front but it was pretty cool. Was able to start on the back 9 with a cart but standing water was everywhere. Still shot a decent round. Great improvements with the new management team.
windy and cool
We had a great day for a very cool and windy day!!!
Fun Course!
Not too much trouble to get into and a great place to practice. Weather was cool and windy but a great value. Only $10.00 Hot Deal on GolfNow.com.
Memory Lane Trip
I haven't played here in 40 years. Guess what? I couldn't remember one hole. Nice course to play with little trouble. Worth the money!
great day
Only 9 holes were open and the green were just aerated; but we had a good time anyway.
Easy, fast, and straight forward
Look...this course is no TPC, but they do a decent job keeping it playable and it’s an easy day. Very straight and wide fairways with minimal obstacles. Great for beginners or fine tuning your game. I love this place, and for $18 for 18 and a cart, it’s a great deal. I definitely recommend playing this course to stay warm and practice for tougher courses.
Great improvements
If you haven’t play Chandler this year you are missing out. The new management has turned his course around in the short amount of time. Fairways are looking good. New ball washers. Carts with jacks to charge phone so I can use my phone gps without draining my batter. Great new food menu as well.
Better scheduling
I've played at Chandler several times and will probably continue playing there more solely because it is relatively inexpensive and incredibly close to my house. However, this past Sunday was terrible! It rained at the turn for us, which we got excited about because we figured we wouldn't be stuck behind a foursome that was definitely dragging their feet in the front nine. We get to the back nine and there is now a fivesome (which I believe is illegal), it took us 35 minutes to get through two holes (we play ready golf and are through 18 in about 3 hours). We decided to skip the hole and jump ahead. the fivesome came up to us like a gang, aggressively yelling at us saying they were in a scrabble and we weren't allowed to move ahead of them. They proceeded to use racial slurs towards us. Once we found out they were doing a scramble we literally apologized and moved back to the previous hole.
While I know that the course and the management can't control the behavior of individuals, it would have been appreciated if the course had informed us that there was a scramble going on and maybe asked us to reschedule our tee time.
needs work
I love playing the course but this time everything on the course needs work! It could be because of the poor whether; so lets see the next time.
Good course poorly maintained
Way too much goose droppings. Quite disgusting. It's usually not that bad. Friendly service.
Rough and Very rough
Not sure what to say. The course has steadily declined for the past three years. Outside the baker's dozen things I'd do to improve the place, they have to make people feel secure. Unfortunately the east side does not have good golf. If it did...Chandler would not exist. It's partially due to the fact they are on a year by year contract. Partially.
Need some work
Need some ball washers and trash cans out on the course. Rangers should monitor the entire course because I have been stuck behind 5 some son more than one occasion.
What you expect for a city course
Lack of ball washers was striking. We have had a good deal of rain recently so there were a lot of areas which had water or mud in them.
Good course loused up years ago when the Ford Freeway was built.
You get what you pay for.
Rough Fairway
Now this is one of favorite courses to play in the city On this day the course was in terrible condition. Nothing was cut. The fairway was just as thick and high as the rough. The greens were not in good shape. I wish i was given a choice to on the non maintained course. It was a was of money.
