Stony Creek Golf Course
About
Stony Creek is part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system and many locals consider it to be one of its gems. There aren't any residences near the golf course, giving it a secluded feel and providing unhindered views from the elevated tees. The course opened in 1976 but underwent a major renovation that included re-sculpting the bunkers and reconditioning the entire golf course. The layout features several doglegs and a surprising amount of elevation changes. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides and landing zones. There are also lakes and ponds that come into play on six holes on the front nine and three on the back. Stony Creek's par-3 17th is the most memorable water hole and the 14th is also notable for its tiny "postage stamp" green.

Greens good. Tee boxes bad
Greens and fairways were in good shape. Couple under maintenence spots out there. Bunkers were nice.
The tee boxes were in bad shape though. Please level them and repair grass.
Great Course
Beautiful course, well spaced out, greens and bunkers well taken care of priced fairly
Great Staff
The staff was super!!! Check easy with the app and starter did an excellent job getting us ready to avoid major groups!!! Had a fast paced round with that advice!!!!
Course in good condition, especially for so early in season. Beautiful scenery, deer on several holes. Unfortunately it was cart path only and it turned into a 5 hour round. Don’t believe they have a ranger.
Overall a nice course
I enjoy playing Stoney Creek. That being said they have the worst tee box in Macomb County on the 17th hole. It is nothing more than a dirt pile with the occasional grass patch. They need to trim the trees around the box, then maybe grass will grow.
The course, other than the 17th tee box, was in good shape. There were signs of off season work that was done, but that will improve as time goes on. The greens seemed to run true.
Go play
Nice course great layout, green was fast even with the rain a couple days ago. Bring range finder .
Will play again definitely
Don't forget to add the metro park fee in. Make sure you bring an extra 10 bucks
Nice layout
I like playing at Stoney Creek golf course,
Love the layout
Stoney Creek Slipping
The Stoney Creek Metro Park is a great park to visit, walk, run, bike and play. The golf course is fairly easy with wide open fairways. Although I enjoy the course many of the tee boxes are in bad shape. Especially so on holes, 4,11, and 17. The greens are decent but many golfers apparently do NOT repair their ball marks.
Only problem was the ranger was letting multiple individual players out instead of partnering players.
