Slow Day
Took over 5 hours to play. No bathrooms anywhere on the course, so would have had to drive all the way back to the clubhouse. Didn't have a drink cart come around either, which is difficult with the course not having a turn after 9. Fairway, rough, and some tee boxes are barely indistinguishable. Holes are right on top of each other, so balls are flying to different holes all the time and continuously hearing "fore" the whole round.
Crabby Starter
Everybody was friendly except for the starter. Didn't want to help, smart alec. I asked a few questions because it was only my second time playing this course and he was rude and condescending.
Keep your money
Shot a 79, which felt awesome. However, course was in terrible conditions. Fairways felt like the rough. SUPER patchy. People are yelling fore left and right. Good for beginners who don’t care that much, but I will likely never return. Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else.
Decent course if just looking to get out to play
It's nice and wide open. We didn't lose a ball all day which is saying something for us. Sand traps are pretty small and no water to hit over. It's a solid option for golfers who are not very good like us, but I would only go back if one of the other courses we frequent isn't available. But I would go back. The course was in solid shape.
Finding Holes
There were several times we were confused on which hole to go to next. Having 54 holes is awesome, but the layout is confusing. Holes are marked. on trees and we had to ask other players which hole to go to next to keep on pace.
Business as usual
The only friendly staff is in the bar... Starters are rude and unaccommodating. Course is in rough shape per usual. Pace was slow.
Soild
Soild course the green's were in good shape. The tee boxes were in rough shape. Definitely keep an eye out for stray balls I amlost got hit a couple time. The holes are very close together.
Poor condition of the course. Ground hard and greens are awful. Driving the cart was terrible. Yes close down for makeover is in demand. The PiC can be deceiving on golf now.
Run down and beat up
It’s the same old maple lane. Just had to go back to reming myself why I won’t ever come back. No money is invested in the course.
Great choice in metro detroit!
Honestly, if you want to spend a day with a lot of options and a decent llayout. I would recommend this course any day of the week.
$39?!?
This is a $20 course. I played shepherds hollow yesterday, a top 50 public course in the country, for $51. It’s absolute robbery they’re charging 39 for 18 during April. Don’t play here
