West at Maple Lane Golf Club

By far the worst course I have been to. The greens were horrible, you couldnt tell the difference between the rough and fairways and just not a nice course. They had an outing Tee off after we started. The entire outing drove across our fairway as we were hitting. I wouldnt pay more than 10 bucks to play 18 here and they charged us 30 each. The inside of this place hasnt been cleaned in years and the bathrooms are set up like a squad bay in Marine Corps boot camp. Never will play here again.

Great having 54 Holes on a course, but they need to offer more variety in the beer carts. Would like to see some craft beer or cider beers especially heading into Fall.

Course conditions were actually surprisingly good.

Facilities are very old and outdated.

A few improvements here and there would make this a favorite spot.

Maybe put some hole info at the tee boxes instead of just hole number signs!

Overall would still recommend.

Greens were true and in very good shape, shot 88 which is good for me... Must of had 8-10 1putts!!

Fair course condition wise, and the starter was extremely rude. Would not pay more than $20 for a round of 18 here

Me and my best friend are learning how to play and this is such a great course for learning and fast play. We always have a great time

Went on a weekday at noon and the place was packed. There is people hitting on your fairway from other places the entire time, there are kids that roll up tin foil and throw them on the fairway so you think you see your ball. I will only golf here if I can get a half off deal from GolfNow. Not a terrible place but too many people

I am staying in the area for work this week and this course provided convenient, enjoyable golf. We finished the 9th hole as soon as the rain arrived, so the timing was perfect as well.

most holes have fairly wide fairways and the greens are fast

Ok for the price we paid. It is not worth paying more that 18.00 for 18 with a cart when you can pay that price for a much nicer course on Golfnow. But it's nice and close to us which we like for last minute golfing.

Great value as always, greens in great shape,and many , many of trees to teach you that this game can be easier if played from the fairways .

Not an exciting course at all. Very boring; no water hazards and very few bunkers. I left after the front 9 holes. Too many straight-ahead holes with very little trees on the sides. Not fun and not challenging at all. Luckily I found a GolfNow Hot Deal and it only cost me $10. If I had spent more money than that I would have been extremely displeased.

Played early on a Friday afternoon so pace of play was excellent (never saw anyone in from of us). Course was well maintained. Greens were in very good shape.

The West is the best of the 3 courses at Maple Lane insofar as you can play all 18 without interruption at the "turn" the course stretches all the way around so on this one you will not hit the club house after 9. If you are playing well, holes 17 and 18 can kill your score easily, hole 17 plays down a chute of trees to the left and right a straight driver or slightly left at least 210-220 out puts you in good shape for the green which is elevated. Hole 18 plays along 14 mile rd, and 3/4 of the "fairway" is in a valley to which a long second shot plays to the most elevated green on the course, always seems to play 10-15 yds longer than you think and is a deceptively large green.

i paid $15 for 18 with a cart, so you cant beat the price.
we got teamed up with another twosome who also booked through golf now.
the course is easy if you hit the ball straight, but any wayward shot you will be in the trees or on another fairway,
there a 3 18 hole courses and they are very close to each other & you can have someone hitting their ball out of your fairway at any moment.
we played the west course which is fairly short, but the greens were fine & we did not get held up at anytime.
will do this again if i can get the same price.

My daughter and I played on the west course to prepare for a US kids tournment in the coming week. The staff were very friendly. However, the grass is a bit long (whether it's fairway or rough) which cost us tremendous time to find the balls as I sprayed a few drives and I needed to pay a lot of attention to where my daughter's balls landed. It was frustrating to lose balls even if you saw where the balls landed.

Great if not looking for too much in a course. Nice greens and great place to go practice.

Mike and the whole staff were great the course is in great shape for this time of year the greens are mid summer perfect

Fairways good, rough is long, some bare spots off of fairway with hardpan/dried mud lies. Greens rolling true but slow, stopping the ball on approach shots can be a challenge at times. Crisp wedge shots to putting surface stop close to landing zone but finding the ball mark to repair can be difficult.

Central location, for Detriot area suburbs, easy course when keeping ball in fairway, greens easy.
