Reviews
The course is on a fair condition and good for beginners. However, the fairway and rough grass was too long - it should be cut more often.
My daughter and I played on the west course to prepare for a US kids tournment in the coming week. The staff were very friendly. However, the grass is a bit long (whether it's fairway or rough) which cost us tremendous time to find the balls as I sprayed a few drives and I needed to pay a lot of attention to where my daughter's balls landed. It was frustrating to lose balls even if you saw where the balls landed.
Greens in good condition.
Great if not looking for too much in a course. Nice greens and great place to go practice.
Greens are perfect
Mike and the whole staff were great the course is in great shape for this time of year the greens are mid summer perfect
Decent for the price
Fairways good, rough is long, some bare spots off of fairway with hardpan/dried mud lies. Greens rolling true but slow, stopping the ball on approach shots can be a challenge at times. Crisp wedge shots to putting surface stop close to landing zone but finding the ball mark to repair can be difficult.
easy course for early season play
Central location, for Detriot area suburbs, easy course when keeping ball in fairway, greens easy.
Great Selection of Golf
A lot of fun when you want to play a whole day of golf, great place to play 36holes and not break the bank.
Greens and fairways are maintained well.
We golf here pry 4 times a year.
Will not play a second time.
Most courses we play for the first time, we like to play again. Not the case with Maple Lane. This course is at the low end of municipal courses, some of the clientele certainly supported that. If we knew at the start what we were walking into, we would have given it a definite pass! Course was not busy however play was slow due to lack of a course marshal and poor golf etiquette. Least enjoyable round of golf we have ever played in Michigan. Price was the only attractive aspect of the round.
