Nice Track!
We were pleasantly surprised with this golf course in Troy! Nice fairways and greens, and the tee boxes just looked like there was a lot of wear and tear on them, but still satisfactory. The pace of play was slow, but that is no fault of the golf course. Our 8-some had a wonderful, fun afternoon!
What You Would Expect
Basic local muni. Nothing noteworthy. On business trip for work and had some free time so decided to book a tee time. The webpage would not let me register to book and kept kicking my email address out so I had to book through golf now which was a little irritating. Showed up early for tee time and course was pretty packed. Was able to get out at my scheduled time but the pace was slow. Couple groups took way too long to play. Would like to see some kind of marshal on the course. One group in particular 2 ahead of us was the ones slowing everyone down. When one of the guys hit multiple balls off the 1st tee for no reason someone should have said something at that point. Course itself wasn’t bad. Nothing really stands out tho. Literally what you would expect. There are a lot of courses in the area and probably better options if you are up this way.
My Home Course
Its a great city owned track.. Great Holes, rewards you for good shots, penalizes you for fade, slices.. Great greens.. Usually can get my 9 holes done in under an hour first thing in the morning..
I don't know
Didn't particularly care for this course. Not for any particular reason, Just didn't care for it. Like Sanctuary Lake its sister course better and It's closer to home
Fun course; Charge to much
This course has a fun layout. Has always charged more than what the course is worth. There are many courses in the area that are in similar condition which are more reasonable price wise.
Decent Track
1st time I played 18 holes here and I was impressed. Groomed well and though there is not much contouring but many challenges
Greens offer challenges as well but run true
Pace of play was problematic because one group slowed the course down. They need rangers to assist
Also my wife and I walked the front nine two weeks ago. Good track for walking I’d recommend this course
Long course
Course is long, fairways not in good shape. Greens fair and in great shape
