Lots of water
Well kept greens and fairways, could use signage of the holes at the tees, meaning the geographical of the holes. Otherwise very nice round, take extra balls
Slow play
Everything was going great, got the front nine done in under 2 hours. Then the back nine ame to a screaching halt. The back nine was extremely slow, almost 3 hours. Waited almost 20 mins just to tee off on 10.
GREAT VALUE
Have passed by the course for a couple decades, first time playing thanks to "golf now" and the excellent deal that I got. I would pay more if playing with friends & planned further out. $19 was a STEAL. Not as nice as the upper echelon private tracks in the area, but definitely as good as most of the public offerings. Fairly easy track (quite short) but there are a lot of opportunities to get into trouble if not careful. GREAT VALUE.
Nice Course
I played Bay Pointe with my brother when he was in town. You can tell it it used to be a country club. Very nice shape. A little on the short side side but all in all a nice course
Glad I finally got to play here
For whatever reason I had never played Baypointe before today. For years it was private and now that it is public it just never fell into my rotation. That will change. We only played the front nine, but it was a quality course with some very good holes. It was in good shape and a reasonable value. I definitely want to go again to play the back.
Pretty from the outside but not worth the trouble.
This is a very busy course although I cannot figure out why as there are many that are just as nice in the are that are better managed and less expensive to play in the area.
The pace of play was very very slow. We skipped a hole and still had 6 to play when we finally gave up and left and that took 4 hours and 10 minutes to play! They do not use a ranger that we could see and there was a lot of goofing off and no one seemed interested or understood what "ready golf" means.
The worst round of.golf we ever played or at least tried to play.
Nice layout - but too slow!
Nice layout, but it took us 5.5 hours to play 14 holes! Quit.... never finished. Marshall was nowhere to be found. Even saw a group of 7 playing two holes ahead of us. Brutal. I'll never play there again.
Pricey
The beer cart gal was busy as the temperature climbed into the low 90s. Pace of play was slow to extremely slow. Course was in very good shape; greens were fast. The kielbasa at the turn was delicious and reasonably priced.
My complaint with this course is that it is not a premium course, yet you're charged a premium price to play. There are better courses (such as Northville Hills or Pheasant Run) for the same or similar price.
Poor management
Had a twosome in front of us poor golfers that's ok but started hitting3 4 sometimes hitting5.So we told them you can't be doing. They got pretty nasty. So we called the club house they said send a ranger out they didn't they kept doing it. So we called again. So this time they sent a young kid out he said something to then he drove away. The next hole same thing so we left and went back to the club house. We asked why they didn't do anything and what did they say the young lad said he could not repeat it.The management still did nothing. I would not play there again if you paid me
Course is worth playing again
Some long par 4s and good layout. Expected more water. Only 1 tee option for mens.
Pin placements
The only negative that I have relates to the lack of any means of determining where pins are placed on the greens.
Slow play! on the second 9.
Always enjoy the course! Wish they had ranger to speed up the play.
Course does not have water anywhere nor there is a cart going around to get water or snacks.[ At least when we played].Only place you can bye water bottle is at the starter booth.
Same problem with toilet. One temporary Potty but was very dirty.
I would suggest players to carry couple of water bottles with them.
This course has a Country Club Feel to it
I liked the course design and the scenery on the par 3 seventh hole is spectacular, but what I really appreciated the most was the condition and consistency of the greens.
