Very picturesque course. Fair amount of water and forced carries. Worth the trip.

Good Afternoon round on a beautiful day. Bird waste a bit of a challenge but the course is a good test of golf

course was extremely crowded. Need to do a better job of managing the pace of play and the number of golfer that are out. Very slow, no fun to much waiting couldn't establish a rythym. Never saw a ranger

I live very close to Baypointe, and should have remembered that the day after a good rain, this course is one big puddle.....the water table is very high and even a sunny day after a rain will not dry it out!!
Also, this used to be a exclusive country club with huge facility's .....I suggest if your gonna play there, bring a Subway sub with you, as there is not one hot dog to be had at this course.....what a shame, the clubhouse on a lake could have a great patio restaurant
I realize my idea of a golf course is in the woods with quiet all around, this place has heavy traffic right over a 6 foot fence.....there's much nicer course in the area.....this place is going downhill fast

Little over booked. A lot of people crossing from one fairway to others. Tight. Beautiful playing along the water reminds me of Lake Tahoe.It is beautiful course.

The course conditions here were much better than Oakland Hills!! I was very impressed! A great value!

This is a nice course. Middle Straits Lake comes into play on several holes to provide some scenery and some challenge. The course is in good shape. They keep the rough long to make hitting fairways a premium and the greens are in pretty good shape. The grill at the turn, with quickly-available burgers, brats and kielbasa in addition to the standard hot dogs, is awesome. The pace of play is atrocious. 5.5 hours to play 18 holes after starting 25 minutes late. Tee times are only seven minutes apart. The starter was often hard to find (socializing with regulars over near the grill or in the clubhouse) as we tried to figure out who was were in the tee order, and a couple of foursomes jumped the line out of turn with nobody there to keep order. I'll be back but not on a weekend or holiday. Also, there are only two tees and the shortest one, around 5,150 yards, is clearly for women. No real give for men.

Great Course and Friendly Staff. Early in the year, no grill open. Really picturesque, being on the water. Can get tricky on the back 9.

This is an excellent course with challenging water hazards along the way. The biggest surprise was the quality of the greens this early. They were consistently fast with challenging but fair hole placenta. We would all 4 go back and we highly recommend this course.

Played this course for the first time. Some water on nearly every hole but no tough carries from tee boxes. Short hitters will need to lay up on a few holes. Greens & fairways in nice shape. Course playability would really be enhanced if they put in a "White" tee box. Gold's are too long to score for most golfers and Silver tees are too short.

For $25 per person, it's a great deal. only complaint is it was slow. they stacked up 2-somes and we finally got bogged down waiting behind 3 other groups on 8. By 10, it was still the same so we ended up playing front again...this was after skipping 2 old farts on 4 who were moving like molasses. Staff wasn't too eager to do anything about it. This was Thursday afternoon so figured we'd fly. If not for this, the course is nice.

If you are afraid of water - bring extra balls.
Condition of course was Good +.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Due to high % of water hazards on course -probably slows pace.Scenery and condition made slow play more palatable.
Will play again!

This one-time private course has been open to the public for close to 10 years now. It is well maintained and had the best greens I've seen this year. Only 6300 from the tips, it represents a nice challenge or an opportunity to go low for the single digit 'cappers. No, or very limited food offerings, but there are plenty of great area restaurants close by.

Played here with 3 of my friends with my free foursome reward just because it was the most expensive hot deal on the site.
Overall the course looks pretty easy, the funny thing is that all 4 of us ended up taking an butt kicking from this course, so don't be fooled by the looks of things, this course is pretty hard.
But... I think this course is overpriced and to small,
Still a good course to try out if you live in the area

course has been well maintained, green speed average. only two tee box (Gold, Silver).

course in very good condition. greens held well and putted true. only detriment was the number of divots and ball marks left after an outing earlier. Staff is excellent.

Miss hits turn into penalty strokes on a lot of holes. Very good greens well manicured. Complimentary driving range is a plus.
Great views of lake and nice club house!

I would never eat from the grill on the turn due to employees not wearing gloves while serving

This course is beautifully set up around a lake. Almost all the holes are adjacent to water which makes it a bit challenging. It's not long (~6250 from back tee), but they made it so that you cannot bomb your drive on every hole, so it doesn't feel like a shorter course at all. Greens were in good shape and had above average speed. It's not a picture perfect course, but definitely a gem for the GolfNow price I paid.
