Wind, fescue, doglegs and hills.
When they say hills they mean it. It feels like your always hitting uphill. If you play on a windy day bring extra golf balls. Some very strange hole designs. However, fast greens and decent fairways. Some easy pars and some impossible ones. Not for the beginner.
Enjoyed my round
Harder than average with many steep hills, doglegs, and a few too many blind shots. Beautiful property and friendly staff. Would play again, especially if I lived closer.
Good shape for October
Course was in nice shape for October.
Risk vs. reward shots in play.
Not too long, greens in good shape.
Good value, great scenery!
I did not have one flat lie all day. Great piece of land just not for a golf course
Course has some great holes.
All fairways were in great shape as were the greens on the front side. Greens on the back were in tough shape as were most all of the traps. All in all an enjoyable round.
First time
The font nine was in really good shape. But the back nine greens around the pins are needing resurfacing from the drought this year. But overall I'll be back to play the course again
Greens
Greens were so long it was like an elites course fairways. Unable to figure speed of chips and putts. Mowers need to get out there.
One Of Our Favorites
We always enjoy the 40 minute drive to this course! Well worth the drive! Hills make it challenging and the front and back nine are so different that it has something for both of us.
could have been better
Had not played the course in a couple years so we decided to play 18 there. We paid for the round on-line so check-in was easy. It was August and you never know what a course will be like in mid-summer. In this case it was in ok shape. Most of the fairways were still green and not baked hard. There were many areas off the fairways that were brown and hard, but that was to be expected. Some of the non-fairway areas around the greens had grass long enough to hide balls which can create delay sand really slow down the round. The green speed varied from hole to hole, and some were a bit shaggy and bumpy. Several of the greens had roped off areas where they had reseeded bare spots. I would have expected the greens to be in better shape at this time of the season. Bunker were not well maintained. They They had been wet, and the sand was packed down. Overall I would play the course again, as long as they keep the senior rate in effect.
Rough green no food except for hot dogs
Nice course but some greens are unplayable and after golfing the restaurant didn’t serve any food except for old hot dogs
