Must Play!
Upon arrival in the Pro Shop you're Greeted by a great staff. The warmup facilities are spacious from the driving range and putting green. The starters welcome you with a smile and wish you a great round. The first hole is a par 5 providing confidence that you will play well. Overall the course is in a neighborhood but the homes do not seem to be apart of the course. Only two issue I have, the condition of the bunkers. The sand is extremely rocky and after heavy rains they become ponds that take time to drain. The other I are geese mostly their leavings. The course rangers are more ambassadors than the former. The on course beverage staff are considerate and provide a verity of snacks and beverages. Finally the 19th hole has an awesome outdoor deck overseeing the first and tenth tee boxes. A great place to chill after your round. Bottom line you'll find Eagle Valley the best muni course in condition and value in the Twin Cities.
staff that values your time
I have played the course several times and enjoy playing it. This is one of the finest run municipal courses I have come across, the staff is friendly, well trained and cares about what they do. They are on top of things and make every effort to see that you are satisfied. After the round the clubhouse has a inviting patio and refreshment area with reasonable prices. The only downfall of this course is that the bunkers can become rocky as the season goes along.
Great Public Course
I really like this course. This is my second year as a full member. Every year they are changing the golf course and improving on the aesthetics of the course. The staff is quite receptive to suggestions and are always pleasant to those who are members and new golfers to the course.
There's No Place Like Home
With several courses in the Woodbury area, I choose Eagle Valley as my home course for several reasons. The course is always well groomed, the staff is great, the course is challenging and the price cannot be beat for the experience you receive!
Not your fathers municipal
Though Eagle Valley is a city owned course you would never know it - you might even mistake it for one of the many former private-turned-public courses! Great layout, well maintained, with course improvements and features being added regularily. I'm lucky to live so close. Dan Moris and his staff are always friendly too!
Great Course
The course was in great shape for early spring. Friendly staff, nice facility. The group in front of us was very slow - could have been "helped along" by a Ranger.
Great local course
For a public course this one is excellent. It has a fair layout--just watch out for those hidden sand traps! Greens can be a bit of a challenge especially when dry. They are kind of fast which I like. It is a really good value especially if you are a senior (over 50). Also helps if you are a member of the Royal Club. Would recommend this course to anyone.
Woodbury Secret
This course has all the playables of much more expensive courses nearby but without the expensive green fee...but don't tell the city what a value Eagle Valley is less they raise prices. Golfers have certainly figured out the value as it is increasingly difficult to get prime tee times.
fun course
I like the set up. It's in great shape early in the season.

golf in november
Though the weather wasn't what our stellar meteorologists predicted, for November no complaints. It was windy and tough pin placements for a Wednesday, which made for challenging but fun golf. The course was packed , but there was a good flow with nominal waiting. The course is in really good shape.
Beautiful and challenging courae
We played this course in a perfect weather day. The course layout is challenging and pleasing. It had a lot of bunkers and hazards. On a more extreme weather day, I would think the course would be a lot more punishing. FYI. For people looking for extreme challenge, teeing off the blues is already enough, doing so off the blacks is suicidal.
75 from the Blue tees
course is in great shape. rough is thick.greens are fast and true. keep up to good work
Greens
The greens were horrible.... I was not aware of the green conditions before playing and if I was, I would NOT have played the course yesterday. The greens had just been aerated and were brutal. Not pleased..
Beautiful Course
The course was in great condition and I really enjoyed it. The course isn't that difficult as I shot an 82 when I usually score in the high 80s. Pace of play was a little slow but overall a great course to experience
Great Round!
Eagle Valley is always a sure bet. Fun course layout, conditions were great - especially fairways and roughs. Greens had some signs of play but rolled true. Electric carts are always nice - Great afternoon out there with the buddies.
Very playable course
This is a very straightforward course. It is all in front of you, which I liked and not full of gimmicks. Golf is hard enough the way it is. The condition is always excellent.
Great course
The course is always in great shape. Enough tee boxes to challenge everybody. Staff has always been friendly every time I've played there.
Very nice track!
Course in great condition, tees, greens and fairways in good shape. Greens fast and true. Pace of play on a Friday afternoon was less than 4 hours. Friendly staff combined with very good service.
Great courae
This course has it all, shots over water, well positioned sand and fairways that are challenging but fair. Great course. Not the best in the Twin Cities but unless you are a 5 hc or below this course will have something to challenge you.
Fun course
this is a really fun course can't wait to play it again!
Thank you very much for taking time out of your day to give us this review. We appreciate the kind words, and hope to see you out at Eagle Valley again soon.
