Great Course
Super friendly clubhouse which is sometimes hard to come by. Great course to play.
The course is definitely worth the drive and wasn’t crowded. Greens were in good shape and rolled well . Fairways were in good shape for as dry as it’s been also. Staff if friendly, except for the man behind the counter. He seems as though he’d rather be somewhere else. We bought food before our tee time and phoned ahead before the turn for a dog and a burger and were told , kitchen closed . It was 3 pm. It wasn’t so much that it was closed, but the way he said it. Better counter help would make this place a fun place to play golf, the course is great.

Great outing
I have played Sun Valley many times over the past 20+ years and it is in the best shape ever! They have invested over the last several years and it shows.
Slow play
I’ve played this course 4 times and have yet to play a full round due to slow play. I travel the country full time for work and have played 100s of courses and have yet to experience a pace of play as slow as this. I don’t know if it’s the locals missing a few screws or just poor golf etiquette but a Marshall needs to be hired. Do not come here unless you have endless time to spend waiting for someone in front of you. Also, don’t ask to play through because it’s always a hard no from the people who frequent this course.
spring play
The course was overall in good shape. A few bare spots in the fairways.
Will come back and play more
A morning round at Sun Valley, worth the drive from one hour away. Course is fun and challenging. For the price they charge it is a superb value. If I live closer to this course I will play here all the times.
Pace of play
Need to leave more than 8 minutes between groups. We were waiting up to 20 min to tee off on several holes. Watched several groups before and after us stop early due to pace of play.
The course has many elevation changes. We played in early March so we thought the course was in good shape for this time of year. The greens were good but a little on the slow side. We did enjoy the challenge and will play this course again.
Christmas Eve
My brother and I snagged a last minute tee time on Christmas eve. The guy in the clubhouse couldn't have been nicer. Also seems like management is spending some money on upgrades to the course. This course is tough. Lots of elevation changes with some long difficult approach shots to elevated greens. The views are some of the best around. Worth the drive.
