Hillcrest Golf & Country Club

Very nice course. Very clean and well maintained. Really awed by cleanliness and rolling hills and plenty of flat ground too. Hundreds of shade trees were nice to have on the warm day I played. Won’t hesitate to play again.

Course had standing water on almost every “fairway.” Website said they just redid the fairways and cart paths, but my bag would not stay on straight when driving on the cart path. Will not play this course again.

Staff were great! Course needs work, the fairways and tee boxes are horrible right now but that’s do to grass coming in late. The staff gave an extra discount because of this which was great! Greens are in very good shape!

Winter was hard on this course. Fairways have a lot of dead bare spots. Greens are ok. Ran into a group of 6 on the front that slowed play and they split up at the turn and let us by. Group of 4 on the back were pretty slow and apologized at the 18 th hole. No marshall to keep things moving. That being said course was fun to play. Spots you thought were good to drive to had tree limbs to navigate. Not much flat area. One hole it right side of fairway ball rolled off the left side. Challenge for average golfer.

70 dollars for a course that has a pretty boring layout and completely dead fairways is not my ideal round

Fun course but as other recent reviews stated, the fairways are unplayable on numerous holes to the point I moved to the rough so I could hit off grass instead of dirt. The greens were rolling quickly and it was tough to hold any approach shot so it was almost links style course.

Staff said that hole #17 & 18 had “winter kill” so they were cart path only. Nearly every hole looked to have “winter kill” and fairways were just dirt. This has nothing to do with lack of rain, as other courses in the area have dealt with lack of rain and they have filled in fairways & rough. Hopefully they begin to water the course themselves or it’s not worth the money they are asking to play currently.

I love playing Hillcrest because it is a fun and challenging course and a great value. However I was surprised on my last round that many of the fairways had not greened up yet or had extensive damage to them. I am not sure what is going on with the fairways, but I hope they get better.

Coarse was in rough shape. Especially the fairways. Last of moisture from last year has taken its toll. Two fairways were cart path only, no grass at all on them. Let’s hope it rains soon. Great old school layout.

The greens were good but the tee boxes and fairways are all dead and mostly dirt.

It's a fun/difficult course!! Every hole is up hill in every direction!!😀 if you are not in shape , well you better be a good golfer , becouse chasing your ball here is a work out!! Staff is awsome course is really nice!! Its a must play!!
