Hidden Valley
Course and greens were in good shape, but thought fairways could me mowed closer, although there had been a lot of rain recently. Layout is OK, but pretty generic/straightforward, with nothing really unique or dramatic. Clubhouse is nothing to speak of, but staff is friendly. Price is good for 18 holes and a cart.
We’ll kept course
The course was in great shape, especially considering the amount of rain we’ve had recently. Definitely not a challenging course, but fun to play nonetheless.
No Marshall for starting
People just sitting at first tee waiting to go and no one organizing and starting groups so got stuck behind 2 ladies and luckily a Marshall got them to let me play through on 4th hole finally
Nice Course off the Beaten path
Even though the area has been saturated with a lot of rain the past couple weeks, Hidden Valley was in great shape. There were some soggy spots (which should be extra expected) but the fairways and greens were in great shape. Greens were really receptive and well maintained. Will definitely book again.
Great course
Great course, the fairways and greens are very nice.
When we arrived we found out we had to play the back nine twice because they wee airifying the greens. We would not have driven an hour had we known they were airifying.
Good course!
I’m don’t get to golf much so take that with a grain of salt. This is a great course. Fairways are a little tighter than I would like because I’m not a good golfer, lol, but that said it was still playable. Only lost a couple of balls.
Staff was super friendly and they were very, very busy, but still got us up and running quickly. My son and I had a great time. If you go with realistic expectations, you won’t be disappointed!
Great course! Long play time.
Really great course and conditions. Definitely a little gem. Only challenge is the pace of play. Lots of beginning players with no Marshall. 18 took 4.5 hrs.
That being said....if you want a relaxing afternoon and have the time it’s a fun time. I’ll be back.
Good looking long course
We were wanting to get away from the Kc crowded course and figured we’d make the 30 minute drive to Lawson. It was well worth it. The course was wet and had some puddles since it poured the night before but it was still a good course to play on. It was challenging enough for amateurs like us but we still had a blast. Definitely worth checking out if you get the chance.
Hidden Valley is Hidden Gem
What an asset for the community of Lawson and surrounding region. Great setup - quality range - excellent pub - great layout in good shape. Greens are well designed and challenging. Add it to your play list!!
Mow the Fairway
Played this course a couple weeks back. Didn’t matter if you hit to the fairway or not everything was rough. It was so bad you could barely find your ball in the middle of the fairway. Also, the only way you could tell you were in the fairway and not the rough was because the rough was about an inch taller and you could only tell that if you were standing about 5 feet from it. Everything about the course was great other than that. I will go back again but won’t raise my rating till I see the greens actually playable.
Rainy day...but the course held up
I played this course in the middle of September as a part of a tourney. Course was in great shape over than the lack of mowing in the fairways. It looked like they hadn't been mowed for 5-7 days. It played just fine even after getting about an inch of rain during my round.
Driving range is nice, but they required us to hit off of the mats.
Nice course. Would play again for the right price.
