PohlCat Golf Course

Always an enjoyable time at The Pohlcat. Great layout, the course is immaculate and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The course was very crowded, but the pace of play was still very acceptable. Would highly recommend The Pohlcat

We planned our organization's golf outing at Pohl Cat! Not only was it near our conference location, but was a highly requested course to play by our attendees. The course was in beautiful condition, and everything from the Bloody Mary bar, coffee and doughnuts to the planning and kickoff were first rate. Will absolutely be back to play and would love to host another event there! Thank you for making our event such a success!

I like to play here every chance I can when I'm in Mt Pleasant. I called the course before I booked because my wife who doesn't golf wanted to come along for the ride, the staff was very friendly and told me that there is no problem of her coming along, all the staff we interacted with from the pro Shoppe, the starter and the cart return staff were very friendly and professional , I had very enjoyable round, will definitely recommend this course and will play here the next time I'm in Mt pleasant..

My wife and I have played Pohlcat before but never had experienced the horrendous pace of play we did this time. Neatly 3 hours for the first 9 holes led us to quit at that point. What made matters worse was when speaking with the marshall on the course we were told the group in front of us, who had at least a full hole open in front of them, was right on pace of play they expected. Coming in from the 10th tee led us to believe it was not going to get any better on the back nine.

I'm sure some of the problem was carts were only allowed on cart paths due to rain the previous day. But slow play is sort of a reputation Pohlcat has. Thank goodness we were there at the Golf Now hot deal. I'd have been really upset if we had paid full price for this round.

Beautiful course nestled back where you wouldn’t realize it was there. Course was in great condition considering all the rain we’ve gotten recently. Fairways played well, greens played well.

Can’t wait to play it again

The Cat is always fun to play and always in great condition. The rangers actually do make rounds and keep the pace of play moving!!! This was the first time I played the course this year and it is evident that a tremendous amount of work/improvements have been put into the course since last year....GREAT JOB! The only frustrating part of this round was the GPS on the carts!! Three different times I was moving along and then a warning flashed up on the screen and the cart lowed to a crawl allowing only to back up (SLOWLY) to get back moving again. There were some wet areas on the course due to the rain we FINALLY got but the areas where the cart shut down were firm and easily supported the weight of the cart. If the carts are going to shut down in a particular area, then the course should mark those areas (flags, stakes, etc) so that the golfer is aware that these areas are off limits....rather than getting a surprise while moving to your next shot.

Always is a nice track to play but on a Friday afternoon in late spring you shouldn't have to wait on a cart girl till hole 12 when the clubhouse is no where near the turn.

The PohlCat was in great shape, fun place to play.

Was very happy to play this course. Water, woods and heather. I would suggest it to any golfer,just keep in mind that it's a challeng course..
