Course In Good Shape, Minor Changes Made
The Golf Club of Wentzville is in good shape. Greens were in great shape, smooth but on the slower side. Pace of play was outstanding.
A few changes have been made to the course. On hole 13, par 5, they have removed the fairway bunker which was about 40 yards in front of the green. Therefore, you have no issues going for the green in two.
They have removed the "unusual" 125 yard poles from the fairways. Most courses would have 150 yard poles in the fairways. Now, they have a white pole at the 150 mark but it is on the fairway/rough line now. They also have freshly painted blue, white and red yardage lines on the cart paths.
A fun course, which is always in good shape. You should try to add this course to your playing rotation.
Just a good course.
Challenging enough but anyone can enjoy of any level. Greens are in good shape and not as slow as some public courses which are too slow for competitive players. Layout of fairly simple but mot super easy either.
Great course conditions and friendly staff
The course has a challenging layout with some nicely designed holes. We found the pin placement challenging which was refreshing! The gentleman in the pro shop was more than accommodating. We made a mistake with our booking and he was able to correct it for us with a smile. Will play here again soon and would recommend this course over others in the area.
Overall pretty good - Great value
Conditions above average compared to others in the area this time of year. Pace of play was good during the time we were there - twosome in 3:50 and weren’t in any hurry.
No range on site - unaffiliated range half a mile away.
Not an ambitious layout, but not just straight away every hole either. Not too much trouble on the course overall.
Greens were good, still recovering from aeration but should be there in a week or 2.

Great mid-week round
Quick check-in. No wait for tee time. Course was in nice shape for mid spring. Rough was long and took some looking to find balls just off fairways. Played as a foursome in 4 hours.
Looking to play again.

Local people have always enjoyed this course. Staff at one time was friendly.
Beware of Cliff the General Manager, not a friendly man. Does not appear to enjoy his job.
A Fun, Enjoyable Course
This course is worth to drive to the western edge of the St. Louis Metro area. Not overly difficult and fun to play.
Overall, the course was in decent shape considering it was late November. The practice green still had aeration holes showing. The greens were not as smooth as you see them in the warmer months.

Good Conditions & Customer Service
The course is in really good shape. Only issue I had were the greens were a bit slow. They were much slower than the practice green.
They are very organized and the man behind the counter was very nice and funny. We never had to wait on any tee, so the pace of play was outsanding..
