Terrible experience
Paid full price. Staff did not tell us that Bathrooms and concessions were closed. For a wedding.
Battling the Bear…… mini road trip
Enjoyed the course is spite of my not driving my ball very well off the tee. It is well worth the great green fee with a Hot Deal!
Hadn’t played there in a few years mainly because of the fifty plus miles distance from my home.
Layout has potential when grass is cut
When the course is cut it is a ton of fun and priced well! But…
Played last week, Friday 6:30 tee time. Nothing on the course was cut (tee-green) and running into mowers throughout our round as a result of them scrambling to get things done before the weekend rush.
In a week when we had no rain you would think the course would be somewhat ready for the weekend by Friday morning.
Course is fun when it’s in decent shape.
You also have to be picky about tee times here because they cram in groups. Quickest way to end up with a 5-6 hour round but if you can get off before 730am you can keep it at 3-4
Overall good course
Course was nice, they were doing some renovations, staff was terrible. Rude and not worth the money (mainly Marshall and guy who answered phone night before.) Course was nice though
Pace of play sucks
We were on the putting green right next to the first tee and about to head to our tee time when a solo jumped in front of us and proceeded to play there all day. After finishing the first hole you can see the next 3 hole where there was too many groups to count. I do enjoy the course layout and conditions but we didnt even want to play 17 and 18 because it had already been nearly 6 hours since we started.
Slow play ruins this course
It’s a shame every round here lasts 6 hours because it really it’ is a fun course. Space out the tee times more.
Always like the course but it usually plays slow because it busy most all the time.
Bear Creek
Got behind some players and a course Marshall was nowhere to be found.
Great Value, Great course
My favorite layout in the area, play it almost every week…. very challenging !!!
Several t box’s for all levels of ability and age
There still working on their bunkers, and almost done.
I hear a lot of complaints about pace of play, and yes
Sometimes groups get backed up on this course mainly because golfers play the wrong T box. On this course if your not a 13 handicap or lower you need to be on the gold tees this course has plenty of challenges without playing off the whites, blues or blacks, its not Your grandmas course, it was designed to kick your butt and help you learn to be a better player, also play ready golf its not the PGA Championship……hit the darn ball already !!!!! And quit ball hawking in the brush for ten minutes on a hole, throw another one down and hit it
They keep there rates very very competitive
So if you want to pay $15 more per round they could
Spread the t times out, add 3 rangers to yell at the ball hawkers, and a starter to make everyone play as a foursome and make singles and twosomes play together.
My point is for a price point of $19 to $25 on weekdays with this quality of a course your not going to beat it anywhere. So take it upon yourself to play quickly and allow faster groups to play through.
Oh and fix your own ball mark and two more on every green.
