Great
Hills still tough and corse still beautiful and well kept.
Copper Hills
awesome layout and a beautiful piece of property. course maintenance was good. Greens were in good shape, but slow. Club house needs works
fun course
course is very challenging greens are good rough very deep
Tough course, needs some TLC
Played the Hill and Marsh course. The course features a lot of tight driving alleys, forced carries off the tee and into many greens. There are several doglegs and elevation changes that make reaching the green in regulation a challenge. Bring lots of balls to this course, you'll need them. Consider moving up to the shorter tees to make the course more playable. Course needs more attention to maintenance; Mother Nature is taking it back.
Lousey Satff
I played a round of golf this morning (July 3, 2014) using vouchers. It started raining around 7th hole on Hills and we waited for about 35 minutes under a tree and finished 8th and 9th hole and headed towards Jungle. During 1st hole, the rain continued, so we returned to pro shop to ask for a rain check for the back 9. I was told at the pro shop that the voucher is already discounted and he can't give any rain check.
If they had any business sense, they could have given us a rain check for 9 holes and we would have come back at a later date and paid for another 9 at full price to make it a 18 hole round.
I must say, I am very disappointed with the arrogance attitude of your staff at the pro shop. I am never going back to that course again. I had similar experience of this type of arrogance attitude from their staff previously. I had invited my friends from across the town on 3 different occasions and they all said they will never come back due to poor customer service.
Copper Hills
Absolutely beautiful course, a must play when in the area.
not really worth the price
awesome layout and a beautiful piece of property. course maintenance was poor
Great Shape
We played the Jungle and Hill courses today. This is the first course I've played this season where there is absolutely no winter kill on any of the greens, The greens were well watered, but pretty quick, and putts rolled true. The fairway were lush, green and well watered too. Like I said, we played here today, and we already have a tee time set up for Wednesday. With 5 sets of tees, I highly recommend the course to all players.
Copper Hills
one of the best layouts around 27 unique and special holes fun to play from start to finish was 1 under for 27 from the tips had to work on every shot
This course is in the worst condition of any I have played in the plast 30 years
On the Hills on the front of hole #6 one of our golfer was starting to chip when a wasps nest was disturbed and they chased him and another golfer and stung one. At the turn we mentioned it to the course and they said the grounds crew will probably get to it tomorrow. Your kidding, right?
Good variety of features
Each course had several challenging features & layouts. Good design. Course was in good shape.
Great course
I like the 3, 9 hole option they are all good courses although the club house could use some attention.
Overpriced and overrated
Felt the course was shabby and poorly maintained. They seem to be hanging on to their positive reviews from 13+ yrs ago, but have done little to maintain.
Hidden gem
I've heard about this course from a co-worker. All I can say is that compared to more expensive courses this rates better than those. What a great value and a fantastic track.
Scenic and challenging
Played the hills and marsh. Tight fairways - difficult when playing for the first time. Tough greens - fast with deceptive breaks.
hoping for a better result
I've seen this place in overall better shape. Great layout. We booked a "hot' rate. Wanted to play the 3rd nine but the staff in the proshop wanted as much for the extra nine holes as our original 18 hole price - didn't happen.Considering we hit a major storm on the 13th hole (No horn sounded) and we were wet we found that this was insulting especially when there were 10 cars in the parking lot. Won't be back for a while considering we drove 2 hours to get there.
Maybe it was nice back in the day
Maintenance is not a priority. There were tall weeds on the tees, the short rough was long, and the long rough was cut so infrequently that there were clumps of decayed grass all over the place.
I'm not going to be going back.
Decent course, not much else to speak of
Greens rolled great, decent layout. Fairway bunkers had pea-sized pebbles in them that would surely ruin your club. Tees were in poor condition. The trailer used as a clubhouse for as long as I can remember still remains so if you're looking to impress clients you'd do better elsewhere. Lastly, the Marsh course was rearranged which confused my skycaddie sgx for several holes.
Challenging But Great Course
I didn't really know what to expect when I rolled up and saw what was basically a double wide for the proshop/club house. But as we stepped to the first tee we saw what a gem this course was going to be. 27 holes to choose from - The Hills, The Marsh and The Jungle. I've played The Hills and The Marsh.
The Hills is definitely a challenge with the sloping hills, tight dog legs, water hazards and wooded areas surrounding most of the fairways!
The Marsh was definitely more forgiving than The Hills, but still a lot of fun.
I look forward to returning and donating a few more golf balls to the hazards on this course. Definitely well worth the price!
One of southeastern Michigans most callenging public couse.
Challenging course with 3 9's.
Quick greens, elevation changes, water and carry on all three nines. Great views. No 2 holes a like.
Many blind shots. First timers will mosr likely loose balls and their cool.
Fair and worth getting to know.
Driving range and very modest club house.
