Golfer Reviews
bad management.
I booked the course 1 week in advance knowing we had some unusually warm weather predicted. Unfortunately the course was not ready for the weather. At 1:08 (my tee time) the course had a 1 hour back up and did not have enough carts available for all the players. We ended up walking using pull carts. Very disappointing day, especially sense I was taking my boss golfing for his birthday.
Great Value
The course is in a rural area. The clubhouse is old and not much to look at but the golf is great. Free range balls to warm up for the challenging course that will test your shot making skills. This is a must play.
Tale of 2 Courses
The front nine holes plays completely different from the back nine. The front nine has greens that are very inviting, but the back nine has greens that the ball hardly sticks to. The course is well maintained and the facilities are nice. Food in the clubhouse is at or below par.
Worth it
we paid $33 for this round at mulberry hills. there are some tight holes surrounded by trees, other then that its pretty open. Some greens were being air-rated so putting was difficult on some holes. we got stuck behind an awful 4some who took mulligans on every shot. but im not going to diss mulberry for that. overall a good course and well worth the money we paid.
a simple course
The staff is friendly, they keep a good pace of play and it's well maintained. But the holes are pretty straights, it's pretty flat, I don't remember any sand traps and the rough and water were pedestrian. It was a very plain course and a little boring. I would recommend this course to beginners and high-handicap players, but if you are looking for a challenge or something scenic, this isn't it.
Not worth it
Played this course for the first time back in the summer. Course is in the middle of no where and doesn't even have a practice putting green. Greens are some of the worst i've played on and are dome shaped. One of the worst courses in michigan. Good for beginners however. They should all play here so they don't slow up the other courses.
