Course needs someone to care
I’ve been told by many that the course has really gone downhill.. if they are not going fix it up don’t charge so much.. Staff was top notch service

Combination of blind shots, very difficult greens and penalty areas on most of the holes made it too tough for the average golfer to have much fun. Bring extra golf balls.

I don’t think there’s been maintenance to the greens or tee boxes since last fall. Would not pay full price for this place. Won’t be going back for a while unless I see a $20 hot deal. Not worth anymore than that right now

Nice course
The greens speed are different. There is no ranger on the course. Some tees had different players suddenly.

Good spring golf value
Condition:
The grass was still dormant but coverage was good and the fairways were real overly tightly cut.
The ground was soft but not wet. No standing water on the course.
Greens;: Great setup, excellent contours and well kept. Twine greens have not fully healed from punching and sanding in the fall. They were slow and a bit bumpy but overall excellent conditions for March.
Layout: good layout, fun variety of hold and lengths. Some forced carries and cross fairway water requiring a long carry or layup.
Value: good value at $29 to walk.
Unfortunately the range was closed. Putting green was nice. Only hot dogs at the turn but overall a good offering.

Average
I will give a benefit of the doubt because it’s so early in the season. The course was actually in good condition. The layout was a little confusing and featured several doglegs that seemed more about fitting the course to the space vs. thoughtful or interesting design. Carts were in rough shape, with my first almost dead at the turn. Staff was quick to get me a new cart and everyone was friendly. The early season price made it worth the $, but it’s not a $60 course compared to several others nearby in my mind.

Greens closed off
# 4 green and 60 yards out under ground repair . Makeshift flag placed on right of center of fairway. From tee box, flag looked like a hazard marker.
Bunkers not groomed and no rakes.
Not walker friendly. Majority of holes shared cart path backtracking extended distances to forks in path to continue on to next tee box from completed green
Men’s bathroom had both toilets clogged up. Only one 1/4 roll of tp. Debris on floor.

Very aptly named
I'm going to do this review in reverse order than what I usually do. I'll start with negatives. There's one glaring one, and that's the condition of the tees. It really is a shame that they're so bad.
That's it. Other than that I liked my experience there. First, they definitely got the name right. I've never hit over so many marshes and wetlands. It was a different perspective and I came to appreciate it. Nine and ten are spectacular in that regard. Tough holes that make you think, with a beauty to them that's unique. The fairways were pretty good and I had no issues with the greens. I'll watch to try and snag a deal, because it's too pricey for the overall condition, but I'll definitely play here again just for the challenge.

Not worth the money
One hole was shortened with fairway green (for no known reason). A few holes had 18 inches of leaves on green - why didn't they blow off these greens?). It took 4 1/2 hours for 13 holes. They should have been paying us to play the course. An overall miserable experience.

Airation!
Air rated and didn’t know in advance. San & holes make green not true. Also pin placement was terrible. Lots of false fronts. Ball rolled a lot!
