Lots of Cattails
this course is aptly named Cattails as you run into them on virtually every hole. that being said it is a very nice course with not a lot of obstacles. this was my first time playing the pace was great me and my buddy were able to finish in 3 and 1/2 hours for 18 holes. drove 50 minutes to get to this course and it was definitely worth the time.

Nice course for the price - $39-42
Undulating greens with some tough pin placements.
Pace of play was around 4.5 hours. But was also 2nd 18 if the day from 4 golfers who all shot around 100.
Plenty of stops were made by the cart girl but would have loved to have seen watering stations somewhere on the course

Local gem
Great course layout that requires thoughtful
ball placement throughout.
Played from the blue tee and enjoyed very much.
Highly recommended. Back 9 was a little congested and took 2.5 hours, but the front 9 took only 1.5 hours so overall only took 4 hours to play 18 holes. Used GolfNow app for Sunday early afternoon tee time and was very happy with the green fee.

Needs a refresh
Built 30 years ago and no updates to facilities or grounds.
Junky carts, crumbling cart paths with no markings or directions left me confused several holes as my first time playing. Typical wannabe pro golf kid with attitude working register with no clue about greeting people with a smile and attempting to be welcoming and friendly.
At end of round lazy old guy working there for free golf was unfriendly as well. Asked him for a towel to wipe my clubs as he did not offer. I was told “ we don’t have any, they don’t give us any “. Wow no towels at a golf course.
In all fairness the course was in nice shape. Greens and fairways cut nice. Just an amateur managed course with no budget. I will not play again.

Difficult Course
I was able to play it for $12 and play 18. So it was well worth my money. But this is a difficult course.

Fun
Fun course, some quirky holes, many lay up areas seemed safer to just go for it all, local knowledge helps on many holes for first time players, friendly and good food, beverage cart girl was extremely attentive. Overall fun course to play and course is in good shape.

Not fun
Unfortunately due to the rain it was cart path only, however the pace of play was so slow we skipped final 3 holes after 4.5 hours and the staff didn’t seem to care (except the food cart girl who was very nice). People playing loud music, talking a lot on the greens next to tee box and very inconsiderate and so slow. Could have been a nice round for fathers’s day. Even when we brought it to their attention they did nothing to help he situation. Very disappointing.

Course has gone downhill
We golf here many times a year and will not be back.. Out of stock of many items, including carts, extremely slow pace, no beverage cart on a busy day,

We have golfed at Cattails for years, it’s a very challenging course. This year the service has dropped significantly. It’s quite obvious management has turned over.
-there were No carts were available after we paid for our golf
-they didn’t have change available when drinks were purchased at the bar
-they were out of stock on very common alcohols and drink condiments. Plus the bartender didn’t know how to make common drinks. My drink had to have at least 4oz+ of grenadine in it (wish I would have noticed before we were back on the course)
-there was Not a beverage cart on a busy Friday night
-there was not a ranger to keep the speed of play going, we were sitting 2-3 carts deep on holes because of a couples league that was very slow.
It’s sad because it’s always been a decent course to golf at, more than likely will not be back this year.

The course is nice and in good shape. The greens are very challenging. This is very much a strategic course the requires you to keep the Driver in the bag most of the time. Too much so for my taste.

It was a great day out
Course was in great shape considering this time of year staff is always friendly but unfortunately we had four tools in front of us that. They tought they're the only ones on the course. but I guess that doesn't matter overall I would say golf here and have fun the great course.

Early season first round
Course was actually drier than I thought, still a few soggy areas but playable. Greens were in pretty good codition for the time of year
