Fun if you like hitting irons
Lots of short holes with a ton of turn in them. Barely hit driver. Greens had fun undulation tho. I’d try it again in the summer.
Nice track
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Very tough greens and lots of dog legs! Playing the blues was a good call.
Excellent time
Enjoyed the course great condition. Only issue is no beverage cart but it's the 2nd week of September so I understand.
Bad course
Do not waste your money or time on this course. All the tee boxes are elevated and tore up real bad, there is no sand in the traps. And the ruff just off the fairway was so long you could not find your ball. Many ditches throughout the course. I don’t think they are maintaining this course at all. The only thing is noticed is a rezoning sign for them so maybe they are selling it to devolpers. This is a very bad course.
Excellent value with the discount
First time playing here. I can understand why people would say that this is target golf. Potential for a few lost balls. A couple tee boxes were a little rough. The greens were a bit slow but that was ok with me. Pace of play for a Sunday afternoon was good enough at 3hrs 55minutes.
We had a group of meathead weightlifters behind us blaring obnoxious rap music, yelling and swearing the entire round. No ranger. No beverage cart.

Really really good course
Only real knock I have is I had the 2 worst hotdogs of my life at the turn, lol! Everything else was really fun!
Hello, u1268185. Thank you for visiting us at Cattails Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
The course is very unique. It's away from the highways and busy streets to make for a quiet experience. No homes on the course, felt like you were "up north". The layout requires you to be accurate off the tee with a variety of clubs - lots of doglegs on the back 9, hole #9 has a split fairway. Greens were heavily sloped - felt like you were playing mini golf on some putts where you had to go up and down a hill.
This was my first time playing the course, it was very confusing going from hole to hole, there really needs to be more signs. Multiple times I ended up on the wrong tee box, and other people were coming up to me asking where certain holes were. Because of the target practice layout, you really need a GPS on the carts to plan holes, but the carts were old with no GPS (or USB ports) and not easy to steer (power steering was weak). At $58 for a mid-week tee time there needs to be GPS in the carts. No water on the course, no drink cart.
Played from the tips, it was only 6436 yards but that's because of the target practice layout. I really enjoyed the challenges with the wetlands, doglegs, and greens, however hole 14 from the black tees needs to have the overhanging branch cut down. I had to hit a closed faced punch 4 iron off the tee. It's still really fun to play a course where no (2) holes are the same.
Grass driving range, large clubhouse that could use updating. Bartender was also the starter/ranger, could have used more staff. Conditions were good - grass was cut short, greens ran smooth (#8 was the only one that had any issues), greens were slower than most courses.
We appreciate your detailed feedback and are glad you enjoyed the unique challenges our course offers. We apologize for the confusion navigating the course and the lack of modern amenities in our carts; we're looking into improving signage and updating our facilities to enhance player experience. Thanks for visiting us. We hope to see you again soon.
