All new experience
New owners have made a difference. Course is cared for . Tee boxes and greens improved. Fairways being watered and cut. This will become a premier course with continued improvements.
Under new ownership. They took this place from a dump to a destination. Check it out.
Cart paths on some holes need help side area of some greens just dirt. Overall I like the course and Rob

Great course! Only improvements - greens should be down sized a little. Course needs better signage. Club house is getting a face lift which looks nice.

It’s back and better than you might imagine…
After a 10+ year hiatus we decided to give Black Bear another try after hearing that new owners had taken over.
It is back and super enjoyable. Probably the best golf value in Northern Michigan.
This course is transforming beautifully!

This course is a nice northern Michigan course.
Played this course for the first time and found it very challenging. If you don’t stay in the fairway it will make you pay. Course was in good shape and they were making it even better. You will not find a better value for your money. Will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 19 hole round at the New Black Bear! New owners have made, and continue to make, significant improvements. They have a vision for the future that will benefit the golf community and beyond. Hats off to the New Black Bear! We will be back!

Great day. Course starting to show signs of fall creeping in. Best value play in northern Michigan. Will keep coming back.
Worth the drive
Course was in good shape, even with the recently spiked greens. Awesome layout, with several holes having severe downhill/uphill contours. Play the correct tee for you game here…..Will definitely be back.
