Hidden Gem
This course is an up and coming hidden gem.
We have played it several times. It gets better each time.
It’s a great value and the restaurant food is really good.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Where is the Marshall????
Had a goodtime. I will come back again. Had a 4 some in front of us that was just unnecessary slow. Search the ponds/weeds for balls. Taking 20 minutes looking for LOST balls. Made the round crawl the last 7 holes. Yelled at them. Did not care. The BAR was great with great food.
Great improvement
Course has gone from “not worth it” to a great course, great staff, lots of improvements!! Keep investing it will pay off!!
bad traps rocks in the traps fairways long grass same as rough very rough needs lots of work
Great option for the area
You can tell there doing the work to update the course. Clubhouse and food were great. Pace was 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon so no complaints. Tee boxes and greens were well kept. No storm damage. Great value for the area Will play again

Course was in great condition. Friendly staff. Clubhouse and bar inviting! Great time!!
All new experience
New owners have made a difference. Course is cared for . Tee boxes and greens improved. Fairways being watered and cut. This will become a premier course with continued improvements.
Under new ownership. They took this place from a dump to a destination. Check it out.
Cart paths on some holes need help side area of some greens just dirt. Overall I like the course and Rob

Great course! Only improvements - greens should be down sized a little. Course needs better signage. Club house is getting a face lift which looks nice.

It’s back and better than you might imagine…
After a 10+ year hiatus we decided to give Black Bear another try after hearing that new owners had taken over.
It is back and super enjoyable. Probably the best golf value in Northern Michigan.
This course is transforming beautifully!
Rob and Olivia are doing a fantastic job breathing new life into this course. Don't let the past reviews deter you. A fun track with plenty more potential!

This course is a nice northern Michigan course.
Played this course for the first time and found it very challenging. If you don’t stay in the fairway it will make you pay. Course was in good shape and they were making it even better. You will not find a better value for your money. Will definitely be back.
