Golfing with friends
Course was in good shape! We were a little disappointed we couldn’t use the club house bathroom after finishing our round prior to an hour and 1/2 drive home.... and the pro shop was open! Rediculous
Lochmere Golf and Country Club
The course is very playable and conditions were good in spite of the lack of rain. Course was busy and short power carts, but all were patient.
Course in excellent condition, great day
First time this year. Seems better than last year (or maybe it has been two years since we played Lochmere). Last time we played the front nine was closed. We found the front nine more enjoyable than the back nine (layout, fewer hazards). Glad we went back.
great course for the $
Not easy
Must be long and straight
Bring lots of balls
Can't read the greens
Fast and breaking away at last second
Awesome conditions
The course is in great condition. The employees were very nice. A tournament had just finished up and there was a back up to start on the first tee. We were then sent off the back and played our round without a hitch. The greens are fast and in immaculate condition. Unlike many public courses in New England there is grass on the tee boxes. The only reason I gave a 1 star to off course amenities was because the restaurant was closed but the weather was perfect and our day was great. Will be back.
Best public golf in the N.H. lakes region!
I’ve played many courses in the NH lakes region when on vacation.....this one was the best. Conditions - excellent......tee boxes, plush fairways, reasonable rough and great greens!
Layout - nice changes in elevation Everything was visually appealing.....from the sculpting of the course to the amazing views!
Pace of play - we had an early tee time (8:20am) and never had to wait more than a minute or two on just a few holes.
We will definitely be back here to play next year!.
Beautiful Course
Lochmere Golf & CC is in excellent condition, as usual.
Fast greens, beautiful fairways and scenery.
Pace of play was excellent. It is a fun course with many different holes, not the usual same up and down.
Highly recommend this course to many, especially visitors from other states.
Beautiful course!
What a beautiful & challenging course! Been wanting to play Lochmere for awhile now and finally opportunity presented itself... and I'm glad it did! I only played front 9 but will go back to play all 18! Everyone (staff) were all very friendly and helpful with the exception of one staff member... the cart man. He was an older man and maybe having a real bad day however, he was not friendly whatsoever, acted as if we were putting him out by getting (and returning) cart, and was basically downright rude. We even made a point of cleaning out & throwing our trash before returning cart yet the man acted as if we left a huge mess of trash, had spilled drinks all over (we hadn't), and said nothing friendly but actually said something to effect of being bothered by fact he still had so much to do & he didn't have time to be dealing with & cleaning carts returned late in afternoon as ours was. There were still plenty of others on course with carts that had to be returned after we returned ours and I can only imagine what rude things he may have said to them when they returned cart considering how rude he was to us! The bartender, a younger blonde woman, was very friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to assist us re: the course and clubhouse. She was awesome and had a personality opposite of the cart man! She smiled the entire time we interacted!
Bottom line, I will return to Lochmere and keep fingers crossed someone else will be responsible for carts that day! The course was very scenic & in great shape! A bit challenging so perhaps not for a brand new golfer but not so difficult that I blew my game! I golfed about my average. I had a great day at Lochmere (except for having to deal with rude cart man), the weather was fantastic, and I do recommend this course to others! The rude cart man only took about 5 min of my day two times (pickup & return) but not bad enough that I won't go back! Everyone else (staff) were great!
Good track
For playing the course for the first time, it was a great experience. The course is a tall of 2 nines! The front nine is shorter and more forgiving at spots, while the second nine has large greens with longer holes. Course was well maintained and worth the cart fee. If you decide to walk, only do the front 9, there are large distances between holes on the back nine. Staff is super friendly and welcoming you.
A Hidden Gem
Lochmere country club in Tilton New Hampshire is a hidden gem. I travel one hour from Massachusetts once a week to play this amazing course. Immaculate conditions, beautiful views, challenging holes and a great value. This course is a must play.
Excellent experience
Very interesting design in nice condition. Front 9 is moderately challenging and back nine is quite challenging. Greens nice and quick. Great experience. Will be back. :)
Third round
I have been impressed every time I come at the shape of the course. I never write reviews but this place stands out
Hot day for golf
Great Thursday on the course. The course was well kept despite a drought and flash floods. Staff were friendly and kind. Pace became slower once leagues reed off at 3pm. Beautiful lakes region course, easy to hit on vacation and worth the price. Medium difficulty from the whites.
You’re gonna love it
You’re gonna love it. I’ve been living in New England in this area for 20 years and this is my new favorite course.
