Fantastic layout - could play everyday!
Played here a few years back when visiting from out of state. Came back this year and was reminded how much fun - and challenging - this course is to play. The greens had been punched a couple (three?) weeks back and were fantastic. And once you are on the green - the fun begins. This course demands a good look on every putt - perhaps why pace of play is 4.5 hours. To be fair, it was not that slow - there are many holes with a drive in between green and tee. The pro was out helping to move things along. I played with a member who is a very accomplished player and a super nice guy. Can't wait to play again when back in the Spring.
really good layout
drought damaged, the greens so dry they wouldn't hold a decently hit shot
Always a great day
This course never disappoints. It is in great shape
Nice course
very good conditions considering we are having a drought
Great Course
Extreme drought going on but you wouldn't know it with this course except for the ponds being almost drained to nothing. (just makes it easier to go get your ball back, right?LOL) Greens fantastic and quick. Fairways green and beautiful. Comparitvely, we played Lounden the next day and it was not good. Nothing but brown fairways. They actually had a starter, which I like. No singles and twosomes going off so pace of play was good and they drive around making sure people keep things moving. Again, at Louden the next day there was no starter, twosomes everywhere and pace of play was terrible. You will not be disappointed with Lochmere!
Great course
This is a great course to play. Lots of interesting holes it’s in great shape and offers some great views. You can leaf peep and golf at the same time when the time is right.
Nice course
Small outing group ahead of us made play unusually slow 5 1/2 hour round.
Course in good shape , greens aerated but still pretty quick
Nice course
Outing in front of us was really slow
Aerated greens but still pretty
Fast
Great Course
One of the more beautiful courses I’ve ever played, great look rolling Layout, I loved it. Can’t wait to return in the fall in a few weeks. Drove two hours from Boston.
Green aeration
We didn’t find out until we got there that the front 9 was closed for aeration.
Lochmere Continues to Shine
I have played Lochmere for the past 10 years or so, and the course continues to shine. Great layout, great staff and just a great overall experience. Greens were in great shape with very little burnout or marks. Heading back for a couple rounds over the next month. Highly recommend this course.
Great course
very nice course, challenging greens, very fast...but great course would love to play again knowing what I know now
Gem
Lochmere is a gem of a course in the mountains of new Hampshire. Great shape, great price, friendly staff & a great layout. Will definitely be back.
