About
Mattawang Golf Club has changed very little since it first opened in 1960. The traditional layout has withstood the test of time as a challenging but playable layout. The course was designed to blend seamlessly into the natural setting while still testing your shot-making skills. You won’t find any man-made water hazards or artificial mounding on this golf course, instead you’ll be challenged by natural streams and ponds and mature evergreens. At first glance, the layout is seemingly wide open, but don’t let your guard down because the fairways are actually quite tight and many of them are strategically lined with trees. In keeping with the time it was built, the greens are smaller than those you would find on most modern golf courses and heavily protected by sand traps. Over the years, Mattawang Golf Club has built a reputation for having some of the well maintained putting surfaces in the area.

Nice course
Course was in good shape. Tee boxes , fairways, rough and greens all good. Lots of unskilled golfers who are hitting drives all over the place. No one rakes the bunkers which are actually in good shape.
No water on the golf course and too far to drive to clubhouse when making the turn. I would play again but definitely avoid the weekend.

Great course..
Fantastic course, true rolling greens..
The only negative is pace of play.. almost 5 hour round.. there is no ranger in the course..
Also, missing 19th hole..
Personally I liked the course layout and the course condition…

We are glad to see you enjoyed the course. Rangers are rarely needed on a Thursday, but we show rounds at 4-420 this day. Rangers are on duty through out busy days, Fridays and weekends. Hope you will be back.

Go play it!
We got the GN deal on a Monday ~ noon. I wouldn't play here at the full cost of golf & cart and seems not many do which led to a wonderful pace of play.
The conditions were wet so the greens were not freshly maintained but were rolling true; the fairways and tees were fine.
Just minimum snacks, gatorades/water available.

Laid back well maintained
Always enjoy my rounds at Mattawang. No bar/ restaurant and a silly driving range that has a pond right in front of it. But besides for that, a long course with a good layout that they keep in great shape. Friendly staff and a fun challenge.
Not difficult, but some really long holes
I enjoyed the course, but it is a tough course to score well on if you're not a long hitter. We played the white tees. Greens and fairways were in great condition. The first two holes were par 4, under 400 yards, but there was only one par 4 under 400 for the rest of the course, The par threes are mostly long with a couple under 180. The course drains well. After a couple of rainy days, 90 degree rule was in place for most every hole. Most places I have played would have been cart path only. Clubhouse is modest, but nice staff. No starter or ranger on duty that we saw.

Also, you will find that many of the holes play longer then the yardage due to slopes and normal winds. Enjoy the season!
Mattawang never disappoints. Always in great condition. Always love coming back for another round.
Best condition in 20 years
Greens run true without tons of bouncing. Fairways are in great shape and there is actual rough around the green to chip off of not hard pan.
