Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Country Club
About
Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Golf Club is one of South Jersey's most popular public courses. It's a local favorite not only because of the affordable rates but also for the challenging design. The diverse terrain provides the classic layout with a mix of flat and hilly holes. On some holes you can expect elevation changes from tee to green. It's a golf course that will keep you on your toes. It will test your accuracy with its narrow, tree-lined fairways and the elevation changes throughout the course make proper club selection essential. Water hazards also appear on nine occasions. The course has appeal for players of all skill levels. It's player-friendly enough for beginners while advanced players will enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities. There is also a driving range available at Valleybrook Golf Club.

Excellent value
Pace is usually pretty good the course is always in very good condition and the staff is always friendly and professional. Rileys pub is the best after your round.
slow play at VB
If you want slow play go to valley brook,I quit after 9 holes,
Wow what a surprise!!!
When you pay $24 for a round of 18 you don’t expect that much but what a treat this gem is. The course was in great shape and the staff has made so many wonderful changes to give this place a private club feel. There’s no longer that feel that your slumming it when playing at Valleybrook. Great job
overbooking tee times in the winter
the staff overbooks tee times in the winter when there is a warm day. As a result, it leads to slow pace of play due to multiple all having the same tee time or a window of about 4 minutes b/w tee times. There all about money, I understand that, but come on now for the price we pay to play, overbooking to increase profits impacts negatively upon customers.
Too many leaves
Too many leaves on the greens, but bigger problem was too many leaves in vicinity of greens. Hole # 15 and 16 need some redesigning. The landing area for the tee shot is too small and the bushes in the vicinity of that landing area are just plain annoying and unnecessary. The short layup tee shot necessary on #16 is absurd. I’ve never played another course with such a short layup. Maybe a redesign is necessary for this hole. Overall I like the course and have played many times long ago.
Valleybrook is one of the best!
I always have a good time at Valleybrook. The courteous and knowledgeable staff, the superbly maintained course, and the great food are all the reasons I return. Riley's is always a great way to end a round of golf.
Unbelievably gorgeous
This course was phenomenal definitely one of the prettiest courses I have played in South Jersey. And the golf now deal made it even better. I've play some expensive courses in the south Jersey and central jersey area and Valleybrook is definitely among that class. Beautiful greens, gorgeous fairways and difficult layout. Highly recommend playing this course at least once.
In the neighborhood
Course was in great shape, staff were great people, price was excellent but the houses were very close most of the time , which made it hard to concentrate on your shot when you can't go for it cause you don't want to hit someone's property and damage it.
The course was in excellent shape
The course was in excellent shape. Played in November but you would think it was May because the condition of the course was so good. The weather has been good so I've played a lot of courses recently but this was by far in the best shape.
Great challenging public course
High quality course. There’s a reason why it’s been voted the best public golf course in NJ multiple times.
a very good value
some challenging holes and a very interesting layout; it gives you many different looks; you will use all of your clubs.
Ok beginners course
Valleybrook is not a very long course. The cart paths are terrible. Especially when you hear your irons hitting your driver all day. The course has a basic layout and is not to tough. A driver is not needed on every hole. It's a good course for beginners to start out on. If your looking for a tough challenge then Valleybrook is not what your looking for.
this course is bad
way overpriced for what it is.
Hole 3 is an absolute mess with overgrown foliage at the tee box and hard-packed dirt around the fairway. Hole 4 reminds you that you are practically in the ghetto - your view is a chain link fence and a highschool. The rest of the course is surrounded by what looks like low-income housing projects. Very poor course layout. Lots of repeatitive side-by-side holes. Up one fairway, down the next. Repeat.
We swung through the bar after the front nine to cool off and rehydrate. The bar was nice. Good draft selection. Speaking of rehydrating - we only saw the beer cart girl once. Not good.
Water hazzards were strait brown and smelled bad. Hole 16's fairway was absolutly shredded. Looked like an excavation site.
They try to spruce up the final three holes in hopes that you leave thinking "that was a good course". Too little, too late.
If I were Jaws, I would sell immediatly to get my name off of that landfill.
Valleybrook - you stink. I won't be back.
Very good value
Course is close to where we live always in good condition and rileys pub is excellent!
No Rangers
We were moving along until we hit 10 and a group jumped back on ahead of us. The were as slow as possible and created a gap of three holes almost instantly. No rangers passed that we could speak to. It ended up adding an hour to the round. I went into the golf shop and asked an employee about the Rangers and he, a young man no more than 21, said he sent the lone ranger home due to that lack of play. He should have sent himself home and kept the ranger on the course.
overall good value
Our foursome traveled about 50 minutes from Bucks County on a Thursday. Have played other Jaworski courses which usually are a good value but never played Valleybrook and we got a good rate of $27 for our 12:24 tee time. We arrived at 11:30 and pro shop guy said we could tee off right away so we did without any warmup. Play was apparently light and we played the front 9 fast and without issue. As we were approaching 10 tee, two foursomes come riding up and cut ahead of us. They teed off earlier and stopped for lunch and came out for the back nine. We watched a couple shots and figured it was going to take us 3 hours to play the back. We drove back to the pro shop who offered to go out and talk to them or we could play the front nine again (wide open) and play the back later on...which we accepted. Ended up playing 27. We also ended up eating there after the round....place was busy. Beers were $2.50 and we all had burgers and sandwiches....$10. Food and service was excellent, Just by chance, Jaworski stopped in and visited the tables.....asked if we were having a good day....nice touch. The course itself is an old design....rolling hills, short, trees, and somewhat narrow fairways. A little rough around the edges but tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in very good shape. The rough was sometimes "rough" with bare spots and weeds. A $27 green fee with good food at decent prices and excellent service made it an overall good experience
