Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Country Club
About
Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Golf Club is one of South Jersey's most popular public courses. It's a local favorite not only because of the affordable rates but also for the challenging design. The diverse terrain provides the classic layout with a mix of flat and hilly holes. On some holes you can expect elevation changes from tee to green. It's a golf course that will keep you on your toes. It will test your accuracy with its narrow, tree-lined fairways and the elevation changes throughout the course make proper club selection essential. Water hazards also appear on nine occasions. The course has appeal for players of all skill levels. It's player-friendly enough for beginners while advanced players will enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities. There is also a driving range available at Valleybrook Golf Club.

this course is bad
way overpriced for what it is.
Hole 3 is an absolute mess with overgrown foliage at the tee box and hard-packed dirt around the fairway. Hole 4 reminds you that you are practically in the ghetto - your view is a chain link fence and a highschool. The rest of the course is surrounded by what looks like low-income housing projects. Very poor course layout. Lots of repeatitive side-by-side holes. Up one fairway, down the next. Repeat.
We swung through the bar after the front nine to cool off and rehydrate. The bar was nice. Good draft selection. Speaking of rehydrating - we only saw the beer cart girl once. Not good.
Water hazzards were strait brown and smelled bad. Hole 16's fairway was absolutly shredded. Looked like an excavation site.
They try to spruce up the final three holes in hopes that you leave thinking "that was a good course". Too little, too late.
If I were Jaws, I would sell immediatly to get my name off of that landfill.
Valleybrook - you stink. I won't be back.
Very good value
Course is close to where we live always in good condition and rileys pub is excellent!
No Rangers
We were moving along until we hit 10 and a group jumped back on ahead of us. The were as slow as possible and created a gap of three holes almost instantly. No rangers passed that we could speak to. It ended up adding an hour to the round. I went into the golf shop and asked an employee about the Rangers and he, a young man no more than 21, said he sent the lone ranger home due to that lack of play. He should have sent himself home and kept the ranger on the course.
overall good value
Our foursome traveled about 50 minutes from Bucks County on a Thursday. Have played other Jaworski courses which usually are a good value but never played Valleybrook and we got a good rate of $27 for our 12:24 tee time. We arrived at 11:30 and pro shop guy said we could tee off right away so we did without any warmup. Play was apparently light and we played the front 9 fast and without issue. As we were approaching 10 tee, two foursomes come riding up and cut ahead of us. They teed off earlier and stopped for lunch and came out for the back nine. We watched a couple shots and figured it was going to take us 3 hours to play the back. We drove back to the pro shop who offered to go out and talk to them or we could play the front nine again (wide open) and play the back later on...which we accepted. Ended up playing 27. We also ended up eating there after the round....place was busy. Beers were $2.50 and we all had burgers and sandwiches....$10. Food and service was excellent, Just by chance, Jaworski stopped in and visited the tables.....asked if we were having a good day....nice touch. The course itself is an old design....rolling hills, short, trees, and somewhat narrow fairways. A little rough around the edges but tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in very good shape. The rough was sometimes "rough" with bare spots and weeds. A $27 green fee with good food at decent prices and excellent service made it an overall good experience
Slow & Repetitive
When me and my playing partner showed up to the course for our 12:45 pm tee time pro shop advised they ran out of carts and we had to wait for a group to come in. There wasn't much order to supplying carts and we ended up teeing off about 25 minutes late. By the time we got to the second hole the group that was two ahead had just tee'd off. The first nine was slow but picked up on the back. It still took us about five hours. There were no marshalls or staff that kept up the pace. The two guys we played with said they had the same issue the week prior when they walked off after a three hour front nine. The course is a little repetitive during the middle of the round when you are playing back and fourth up and down the hills and hitting over water on your tee shot or into the green. I am sure you can find better courses in the area to play.
Disappointing Conditions
Conditions today at Valleybrook were inconsistent; some holes were fine, others had tons of bare patches around the greens that made it near impossible to get a clean lie. I was a bit disappointed in the pace of play today (over 4 and a half hours) and the seeming lack of care by the staff (rangers left the course at 2:00 and thus didn't control pace of play, not to mention the lack of water coolers on the course and trash cans that were full on every hole). Not my best experience at Valleybrook.
Best time yet on this course.
We were paired with two guys who really knew the layout which proved very helpful. Pace of play was fantastic. Staff is very friendly and rileys pub is hard to beat!
Great Coarse
valley brook is always in great shape no doubt very crowed all most all the time and is a bit slow at times
solid choice
Very solid choice near to philly. I'm sure I will be back. Not crazy difficult, but still challenging and well kept.
Short and tight
Greens were in good condition, as were the mostly narrow fairways. The course is on the short side, but the distance between the trees sorta makes up for it. We had 6 inches of rain in the 2 days prior and the fairways seemed to absorb all of it. Not wet spots or very few. Can't see it as my regular track, but it fun to play once in a while. Finished with a satisfactory lunch in the bar. Will go back.
Never again
I have played this course 3 times, and it is seems to get slower every time. The staff was doing nothing to try and increase the rate of play, and our group saw 1 ambassador the entire round that started at 1:36 and didn't end until 6:51. We waited behind 2 groups on the tee box on just about every hole. Overall a terrible experience multiple times. Despite the decent shape the course is in, ease of layout, and 10 minute drive from my home, I have no plan to return.
Not Worth It
Have played this course a few times already and overall the course is in solid condition - which is where the good part ends. Bring your hard hats and your sudokus because you'll be dodging opposing balls all day due to the layout, and sitting around due to the inexplicably horrid pace of play. The staff (rangers, pro shop, bartenders) have a sense of arrogance to them and seem to only care about the regulars and friends of Jaworski. I gave the course a few tries because it generally is in good condition but the inherent dangers, slow pace, and terrible staff just have not made it worth while. Can find courses of the same quality (with much friendlier staff) for similar prices in the area. Look elsewhere.
Greens were in excellent shape. Pacing was good after a slow start - staff was friendly and inviting.
Don't play on Sunday
Good deal on golf now , and I had never played the course. Three of my buddies took the ride from Bucks County, we hear about the course constantly on 97.5, and I will never take the trip again.
Course looks great tucked away in a residential area. If you have 7-8 hours to waste on a Sunday feel free to play. It took 4 hours to play the front 9. I had to be somewhere later in day so I literally had to leave my friends on hole 11 and walk to my car carry my bag.
Weekdays may play quicker will not attempt to play this course on weekend or ever again
Friendly, fairly open course
This is a nice course, especially for the money. My only complaint was I was not aware that the greens had been aerated and sanded. It did not affect play, but would have been nice to know. A three hour round for my wife and I was great.
Good Place to play
Have played here several times in the past 5 years.
The course is difficult with all the hills and water running through it, however it is keep in good condition throughout.
