Green Knoll Golf Course in Bridgewater Township has a varied terrain that provides a unique character to the course. The course sprawls across gently rolling hills dappled with mature trees. Much of the course's challenges are a result of the tricky contours. Some of the elevation changes are dramatic but there are also some subtle ones, which can be just as tricky. Further accuracy is required to maneuver the tight fairways. There are definitely challenges in store throughout but overall the golf course's playability appeals to all skill levels, from novices to avid golfers. It measures a manageable 6,443 yards from the back tees. In addition to the 18-hole course, there is also a nine-hole pitch-and-putt course. Green Knoll is one of five golf courses operated by the Somerset County Park Commission.

Conditions were amazing
Amazing course with a great layout
You can tell the superintendent takes pride in his course, greens roll so true and are all so consistent.
Course conditions and layout
This course are under rated golf course in nj..greens conditions are better than average also layout of course is really challenging..
BEWARE! Course doesn't honor hotdeal tee times!
I booked a 1:40pm hot deal for 3 people but the course didn't honor it. They said that the tee time doesn't include the cart fees when my confirmation clearly stated CART INCLUDED.
I showed them my confirmation on golfnow but no use. The pro shop rep said they didn't get the electronic notice from golfnow stating the carts are included. Didn't try to work with me to resolve this issue which really had nothing to do with me. So I ended up paying another $66 for just the carts, making the fee times almost $70 for a county muni course on a weekday! I could've gotten that at my county course 9 minutes away instead of driving almost an hour. Really disappointed. Will NEVER go back to this course.
Slow play after 3pm
The play was slow on every hole. I should’ve called the front desk and asked for a ranger to come out however, I did not see one ranger on the course. I think they should have ranges on the course of course like this which is open in fairly short, it should only take four hours in total just took over 4 1/2 hours. Waited on every hole. Once a Ranger comes out tell someone to pick it up. It only takes that one time to keep everything moving as it should.
Good Course Dictatorial Starter
For a public course the course is in a reasonable shape. Unfortunately, the start of the game is marred by Starter Mr. Jay’s rude behavior. He doesn’t seem to be happy doing the job. I traveled all the way from Bergen county. It will serve Mr.Jay well to drive to any of the Bergen county courses and watch the starters operate. They are a fun bunch, go out of the way to make sure everyone is enjoying. That’s the whole point.

It was a blistering hot day, so as you’d expect almost everyone wanted a cart. There was a wait of up to 40 minutes for each group choosing to wait for carts. When asked about the shortage we were told the county doesn’t supply enough carts to the course. You would think such a nice county as Somerset, that they would take better care of ALL of their courses and not just the select few with acclaim. For the price, not worth it.
Worth playing
Course overall in very good condition, although a couple of the sand traps are to be desired, but definitely well worth playing
Great course
I really loved the course! It was a little slow, but I got extra time to practice then. Nice views. Great shape in early June.
Green Knoll round
Overall very nice course. Needed to be mowed off fairways. Better attention needed as twosomes should have been put with other twosomes to even out round of play. Had a fun round anyway
Layout is pretty cool and the course is in solid shape. Starter seems to have an issue with everyone for whatever reason. Also no food besides a vending machine. Enjoyed the golf though
