played avalon gc weather was good at 58 degrees. keep your ball in the fairway or you'll lose it in the leaves. greens were pretty fast but in great shape. i'll play it again next week.

Rainy day. Cold. Course very wet. Great starter got us out on 4 ahead of groups so we might get as many holes in before the heavy rain. Played 16 holes b4 down pour. Friendly course, slow greens not too hard. Well groomed.

Are you kidding me, this was Nov. 2 with sun shining about 72 degrees on a beautifully maintained golf course. What is better than that? No delays and the course really is in great shape so to sum it up it was very enjoyable.

Truly frustrating that there was a 5 minute wait to tee off on EVERY HOLE. My partner and I hit hole 15 and had enough. It had been almost 4 hours and we usually finish as a twosome in 2 and a half or 3 hours at the max. This is a local course that I play a lot but it really upset me how overcrowded it was. They told us to group with the twosome ahead but those guys wanted nothing to do with that. Even if we were playing as a foursome it would’ve been backed up. Frustrating.

The course has a few areas that are a bit on the damp side. (Outside of the water hazards). But that said, this could be the reason that the maintenance crew has the course in great shape.

Also pre or post round I don't miss a chance to have a cup of the clams casino soup.

Our foursome always enjoys playing at Avalon. The people are friendly and the course is challenging but not overwhelming.

Looking forward to playing there again

I have been playing this course for over 25 years. Two months ago I played and paid full price and it was in the worst shape I ever seen it. It had crabgrass creeping into the greens with a lot of dirt and weeds in the fairways. Fast forward to Oct 27,2017 and I played using golf now and I found the course has made a good come back. Not one hundred percent but good. This course is fair to the average golfer. If you make a bad shot a good recovery shot can save your score. One drawback is there are no rangers and some players must think they are the only ones there. My last two times it took around 4 1/2 hours to play and that is unacceptable for a week day in Oct.

Course in good fall condition. Although the greens weren't aerated they were sanded which made the normally slow greens even slower. That was our only complaint. Our twosome played the round in 3 hours and had no one behind us or in front of us except for one pair of walkers that we caught and played thru. Not too many leaves on either fairways or greens. Good round all considered.

Beautiful surroundings, with flowers everywhere. Community which it envelops is meticulously kept and clean.

Course has its challenges and certainly more so on the back nine. Tee boxes and fairways are very well kept and greens are nice, but slower than they need to be.

Amenities on course are nice and staff are helpful and friendly. Clubhouse and Pro shop are terrific

A great golf day, very enjoyable.

Relatively easy (especially for seniors). Course was in great condition. Enjoyed the day ( a little slow, but not bad). Would play again.

Greens are always Really...REALLY SLOW !!!! I know this course probably gets a lot of play in the summer so keeping the greens a little high to protect them is sometimes understandable when they might burn out and succumb to the intense heat in the summer... but ......C'mon putting is still part of the game and greens that are that consistently slow, even in the spring and fall makes zero sense to me and are really not fun to play.

Played on Columbus Day and if he had the wind blowing on his journey across the Atlantic that we had on Thursday he would have made it in half the time. The course was in great shape, tee boxes, fairways, greens and sand traps all were fine. Check in was a breeze or on this day should we say a stiff breeze. Even though it was cart paths only that day we still finished in less then 4 hours and enjoyed the course a lot. Good layout with mid length par 4's, slight dog legs par 5's and challenging par 3's. A very pleasant experience from start to finish. We did the hot deal and will return soon hopefully when their is not 29 mile per hour wind gust.

Well maintained, great pace of play this day. Great restaurant on site. Halfway house. Greens in great shape but a little unpredictable. Perfect weather and pace of play made for a great round with friends.

Had a great time, course and staff were outstanding. Looking forward to playing course again.
