Spring training
While the greens were being worked on we were advised. The course was well maintained. We never waited on any hole even though they were busy. Did the round in under 4 hours
Honesty is Foremost in Golf!
I played here 3 weeks ago! The course was in good condition, for the end of March. When I made my reservation a week before my tee time there was no mention that they aireated the greens. 80 % of the putts looked liked the ball had been drinking. I was disappointed in the round, to say the least. I wouldn't have booked my tee time knowing the conditions of the GREENS! I will not be playing Avalon anytime soon!

Although the course had no record of our reservation, they were kind enough to trust we had made one. They made sure we were able to play and fit us in.
Season warm up
It's a nice course to get your practice in and gets a lot of play in the summer but worth the money.
Winter/Early Spring Golf
Course was in great shape for late March play. Fairways were a bit tight but to be expected this time of year in New Jersey. Definitely would come back to play in later spring when course greens up a bit. Overall a nice golfing experience.

You can't beat the Price for this Course and the food is Excellent!
Geat course for winter practice
Green were soft and balls rolled true. Fairways are still green with grass cut and winter debris removed. Players need to fill in divots when playing to help maintain course. Tee boxes were strip seeded in fall and should fill in for next Spring. Good selection of Pro Shop merchandise.

This course is in great shape from the tee boxes,the fairways,and greens.

Avalon GC
Avalon had an outing that day and we waited a fair bit on each hole leading to a nearly 5 hour round.
Nice course but today
Very slow play, greens under repair like playing on sandpaper. I do not know why the round took so long. No Rangers were seen on course to help speed up play.
Beautiful
Very pretty setting. Varied holes. Sometimes gets crowded in summer but was great the day I played because many people evacuated the shore because of possible hurricane which never came.
Thanks for playing and for being brave to stick around despite what the weather man was falsely predicting! We hope to see you back soon!
Slow play
Nice course. Good conditions considering heat and no rain. Lower greens fees means more play which equates to slow play. Staff was nice. Clubhouse bar/restaurant was excellent. Recommend playing. Somehat difficult.

A High Price for an average course
Played this course recently in near perfect conditions. Greens were Excellent, I will say that. Unfortunately that is where the compliments will end. Course was behind schedule in getting groups out, even before 9am hit. To over compensate for their tardiness, their ranger was applying pressure to all the groups to play faster. I never saw the group behind us, yet the ranger exclaimed that we were 15 to 20 minutes slow. I understand telling us once, so we are conscious, but he proceeded to hover over us for around 7 holes. For the record, I scored an 88 and my playing partner scored an 84. I found the staff to be rude. Additionally, for the price of near 90 dollars, the tee boxes and some of the fairways were lost to the weather.
