Played late October, course was well maintained, good condition, playable and fair, some goose issues on some holes, would play again

Great course..nice conditions .only problem that bothered me was the pace of play it was horrible which took some enjoyment out of it ..but I would still play there again cause the course n layout are fun ....

Nice to play, paired up with a couple of members who were great to play with. Good time by all.

great course for average golfer, not much water to worry about, but watch out for the trees if you miss a fairway. Friendly courteous staff, good food.

I don't mind the ride down there for a nice day and nice price....could not have been better

I've played three rounds at Avalon this Summer, all during weekends. The greens are awful - slow and bumpy. This isn't due to weather, as other courses in the area have greens in excellent condition. Also, the staff is not friendly. That's not a "deal killer" for me, as I prioritize the course more than anything. However, if good, friendly service is important to you, prepare to be disappointed. From the "bag drop" guys to the bartenders and servers in the restaurant, the service is poor and the attitude is not friendly, at all.

Course was in great shape. Greens were great but slow. The time to play the course was extremely slow. We played 15 holes in 5 hours then left.

Played on their "Super Wednesday," of whatever they call it so expected to wait when you're paying $55 for an $80 course. Most people who would play this I would imagine be on vacation so who really cares if it takes a little longer?

This was as nice a place as can be, but what takes it down a star is that they expect a packed course each Wednesday. Why wouldn't they move their course maintenance schedule up a date? On that day, with a crowded course, we came across a jet dryer, a lawn mower and sprinkler systems. Just bugged me that we had to deal with those when they should've been prepared.

Two par 3s that require you to hit your tee shot over massive ponds. Fun! Good range of holes too.

We stopped in to the club house for a drink too and it was very nice. Their menu looked good even though we did not eat. The beer prices on the course are great though!

GREENS WERE VERY SLOW, SOFT NOT ROLLED...FAIRWAYS AND TEE BOXES ARE MIXED GRASS...LANSCAPING WAS ON THE MONEY....FLOWERS EVERYWHERE...I THINK THE PERSON TAKING CARE OF THE FLOWERS SHOULD HANDLE THE FAIRWAYS...

SAND TRAPS NEED SAND....

Unless you plan on heading out after 2-3pm, prepare for a 5 hour round. We played on a Thursday and had three group backups on par 3's and sat on the teebox at each 4/5. Was also asked by one ranger to let a twosome play through, as he was unaware that we were in the fairway bc the group in front was still putting.

Course was in nice shape otherwise, greens are slow, but I like that about the course.

I play golf near Philadelphia and the courses I play are in better shape for a lot less money. The course was not worth the price.

Avalon over books tee times. They booked tee times every 7 minutes. It was set to fail from the beginning. We had an 8:45 start with the actual being after 9. It took over 5 1/2 hours to complete the round. We waited on every hole. On one par 3, there were 3 foursomes at the tee with another on the green. If want to kill a full day playing 18 this is for you

This is an overpriced vacation spot course, just like all the other courses in the area. However, with the special deal it was great. Course was in fantastic shape and the layout is just challenging enough to keep it fun and interesting with a little frustration mixed in.

This course might not have huge elevation changes but the conditions make for that aspect. The greens run very true and the fairways are superb. I would recommend that anyone visiting Cape May County give this course a try you will be surprised and delighted.

The experience for a high handicap golfer was good. The fairways are wide and the greens are expansive. Cart path only was the rule because of heavy rain the day before. I recommend it for all levels of ability but it is especially playable for a novice golfer.

This is a relatively straightforward and playable course - good for higher handicappers - not too long and very well kept. Greens were smooth but slow. Pace of play was slow, though the ranger did his best to move things along. No problem with goose droppings as far as I could see. Friendly staff. No driving range. Golfnow deal for $49 was reasonable but standard green fees are $89.

Overall the course was great but they have a big problem with duck droppings. Hole 5 you literally have to try to putt around all the duck feces on the green. Something should be done!

Nice layout. Came as a single and was paired up. Course seemed fairly easy so play from the blues if can drive 250+. Nice greens and plenty of sand in the bunkers.
Only complaint - pace of play. Did see a grou of 5 on the course
