I enjoy the course. Greens and fairways in great shape. 60 dollar round of golf and lunch on Wednesdays. Although if you don't have a course GPS it's very hard to check yardage. I think the greens department should find a way to put more yardage Markers on the course.

Too much traffic 3.5 hrs to play 9 then left after seeing backup on 10. Never on a Wednesday again. Also, I was charged at the desk this time when last time my cc was charged online. What is this sites policy?

I felt, along with my partners, that this was a great value for the course. Course was in good shape and the staff was friendly. Pace of play on back nine was a little slow at first and then moved along.

I play Avalon about once a year. Enjoy the course, but the pace of play is slow. Waited to tee off on just about every hole. If you have patience, you will enjoy the course.

Very good conditions ! Tees, greens , fairways in great shape... Well maintained , nicely mown , no crabgrass / weeds , good turf grass . Greens were very nice - good speed and consistent ...
Our round was 1 1/2 hour on front , but 3 hours on back ... We expected 4 1/2 hour round , so we were on Schedule...
I would definitely go back .

Played on a Wednesday. Waited 20 minutes to tee off at each hole due to there being too many people on the course. Course needs to space out tee times. Finished 9 holes in 3.5 hours due to the long waits. I would avoid this course unless you like to have your time wasted. Someone said Wednesdays are always like this.

Nice course & worth the $. I would play again. One ranger was a pain though.

Course is very well maintained and manicured. Great combination playing near developed and undeveloped space. Not overly long course with accuracy at a premium. Course had no ranger staff monitoring pace during the late afternoon. Foursome in front was two holes behind after 8 which was unacceptable. The halfway house also closed early which was disappointing for a Sunday PM. Have played this course for over 25 years and it has improved dramatically over that time. Let's get the rangers and service personnel on board.

I played this course July 16 with my daughter. We had a 7:53 tee time and went off about ten minutes late. We only had two. The foursome in front were slow and they hit multiple balls from the same guys, rangers should have moved them or jumped us ahead. Five + hours was to long course is short. Course is in very good shape, slow greens because of the overnight rain and it was raining when playing, but still nice. Will go out again.

Played 18 holes at Avalon GC. The course was in great shape, the staff was friendly and helpful. Avalon has a nice club house, bar and restaurant.

Course in good condition. Greens slow. Staff very friendly. Best deals in the afternoon.

Took 5.5 hours to play because a six some was allowed out three groups ahead of us that clogged play. Was hit into twice on the par-5 number 3 (including once while on the green). As rhe Ranger watched it happen.

Course was in marginal shape. I'd been here before but won't go back.

I had a bad experience here over 4th of July weekend and quit after 9 holes, which took 3.5 hours. It's really sad how they try to take advantage of people on a holiday weekend and overbook.

Good course when visiting the Jersey shore. Would recommend for all vacationers

Good course good shape. Very unorganized getting groups out on time but overall good pace and a nice course.

Course in good condition, greens are slow and pace of play slow too. Great hot dogs at the turn. Worth the money if the pace of play was faster.

Course is in great condition. Soft and prime for scoring. Lots of fun on a short track, with tons of trouble off the fairways. Best value, by far, at the beach.

I got a golf now tee time for $45 which was $44 off regular price to play at lunch time. Course was on great shap and very playable ! Staff was awesome ! Great vacation experience !!
