Golfer Reviews
Okay
Could be a great course, but there is more dirt than grass
Great course
This course is in good seasonal condition. Staff is great. There were a lot of older men and women walking which slowed things down.
Not worth playing or paying!!!
Course in poor condition, yardages disappeared no longer exists, sand traps like concrete No sand and no rakes available either!!!
Underwhelming
Course was generally in poor condition. Greens, tees and fairways were chopped up and soggy. Tee boxes were especially poor. I will prefer to not play here in the future.
Don't waste your money
You need a hammer to put your tee in the ground. The rough has more grass than the fairways! The greens are packed down dirt. They should have half price rates for the conditions there! I WILL NEVER PLAY THERE AGAIN!
Usually a good round here but being stuck behind an outing led to my group starting with 2 foursomes backed up in front of us. 5+ hour round on a weekday is pretty miserable.
Tamarak East
Nice layout, heavily played, challenging. Tee boxes in pretty rough shape but this course gets a lot of traffic... it was nice to see young golfers being given lessons, bunkers in great shape, greens in good shape... overall not bad at all.
First round
Nice greens. Most fairways in good shape couple of patchy spots. Enjoyable golf course
Great day
I always have a great day at Tamarack. The course is good, friendly starters and I always get to play with nice golfers
County course
To have played here for over 10 years I can't understand why the course is not in better shape. The pace is always slow but we were the 1st tee time and we finished in 2 hrs and 40 minutes. No round should exceed 4 hrs. You need rangers pushing the players but still keep it enjoyable. The price is steep for a county course and if the course was in excellent condition I could understand but its not. Furthermore, if in fact they were given millions of dollars to make the course worthy of pga tourneys then i don't see it. I know it gets a lot of play but sod over gravel what is that? Tee boxes and fairways burnt out - use water. Its just ok.
stay away
GRASS IS WHAT I EXPECT ON THE FAIRWAY !!!!!!!! OMG dirt ,mud, crab grass and a crust of dired out something all over the fairways and the greens not much better ....the tee boxes are 90% crab grass ... you get what you pay for $52 ..thank god company was good ...lol
East not worth it for player
This golf course is not in good shape at all Fairways have been lost your either hitting out of mud or minimal grass. The rough is very thick and heavy I understand if you don’t hit the fairway you should have a great lie but this isn’t the US open at Bethpage. Some hole are in ok shape others are not good at all. Not sure how the west course is but the East is t worth my money.
