East at Tamarack Golf Course

Had GN rewards, only reason i played, course was not well maintained, some burn marks on greens, fairways and rough are all patchy with weeds and burn marks, should shut down one of the 18 hole courses and focus on just

getting one side into nice shape, won't play again

I have to give kudos to the grounds keepers that always stopped cutting the grass when they saw we were hitting and when we were putting. Not everyone does that. Thanks.

The course is in good shape looks great and is always fun to play I’m a county card holder and I love playing both east and west!

The course was in terrible condition and it wasn't because of the rain. Greens had a ton of sand on them and no grass they were completely unplayable. It looked like nobody has cut the grass all year. The only upside is staff was understanding and refunded our $ when we quit after 6 holes. Layout is nice it could have real potential.

This review is for the East course:

I heard this course was easier than the West course, but that it had drainage issues. Both are true. Although the fairways are quite narrow on many holes, it's short enough to come away with a low score. The water problem was evident on many holes. Some were cart-path only and some that weren't left me slogging my way through fairways.

The front nine is not great. The first two holes made me feel lost in the wild and the fairways were in terrible shape. The back nine, however, is much nicer, with some nice views and wide-open fairways.

Overall, it's not worth the money unless you're a county resident and maybe even a senior. Marshals are hard to find, especially when you're stuck behind a slow group.

The skinny: The West course is much nicer and has more bang for the buck.

Heavy rains led to cart path only and the conditions were very wet. Other than that, it was a nice, inviting course.

Nice layout. Greens were fassst but consistent. Fairways cut perfect. There were a few T boxes that need work.

the front nine greens were like playing at the beach - completely sandy - fairways mediocre and tough rough - its only May whats it gonna be like in July & Aug

Decent course that's fun to play,but should be priced at least $10 less per round. I play there because it's convenient for my group to get there.

Course layout is good, lots of doglegs and shots over water. Some holes are challenging.

18th was a swimming pool in certain spots. Expect to go home with wet shoes after a round there.

Purposely made an afternoon tee time so that I could get the West course, When I get there they tell me they are only letting people out on the East. After discussing this for a while I relented hoping that the course wouldn't be that bad. The East course sucks! It holds water like a swimming pool, there are ruts in the fairway from people driving their carts on wet ground and most of the greens were terrible. Stick to Somerset County courses. They are much better and competently managed.

I’ve played the west before and always had a great day playing golf .

This is the 1st time I played the East and it was a disaster.

They had no business letting people play on a course that was quite literally a swamp . There are dog tracks in better shape then the front 9 was in !!!

If you’re not a resident, stay away. Ridiculously priced for the way it’s maintained. Tee boxes are “good”. Roughs look like they’re cut once a month. Most holes are open, great to practice your long game.

Fairways in poor shape and grass in rough ridiculously high

Very very very poor fairway/green/ and tee box conditions. Actual 6”-10” puddles which engulfed both feet while in a fairway.

It did rain the day prior, but for a $42 round(on a hot deal with 10% off) the course was in horrid condition.

A little morning sand on the fairway would have helped tremendously considering the great weather the day of the round.
