In need of maintenance
Needs a groundskeeper and a few rangers. No yardage markers no one cleans up ball marks
In need of maintenance
I accept burnt out fairways from drought, but no yardage markers is not drought related. How hard is it to put in a few colored stakes to show 100, 150 and 200 yards from the green. Even the marks on the cart path were illegible. Also no one fixes ball marks anymore. Finally how about a ranger to enforce pace of play.
I have passed the course on the NJ Turnpike countless times and always made a note that I should play it. What I heard was that it was always on n poor shape.
The course definitely needs work. The dry spring and summer have it burned out in n numerous places and crabgrass around the greens and aprons needs maintenance. That being said, the layout is terrific. It has so much potential to be a terrific course.
The staff, at least those I met, were courteous and professional. The greens rolled true and we’re a good speed.
The property it is on is beautiful.
I hope it keeps getting some serious TLC. Seeding som of the bare areas is a must, but I will definitely play here again
Tamarack West
The average rating was due to the drought conditions and nit much the course could actually do. It was dry and hard, with some wicked bounces....But expected given the hot dry weather lately.....The ONLKY issue would be the pace of play, and lack of any rangers pushing the pace to increase. Watching from the tee box as someone on the rough takes 6-7 practice swings, then hits it 2 feet is a bit much. Or watching someone 6 putt on the green........They just need someone to enforce a better pace of play......Stop worrying about cooler enforcement and more about pace of play enforcement........Letting someone bring their own water or gatorade is NOT a crime......You make enough money off the golfers........Otherwise it was a nice time.......
Held up well
Given the weather we have been having, course held up reasonably well. Kudos to staff.
Sunday chalkenge
Fairways clean and open, greens a bit fast.
Enjoyed my round.
Disappointed for the money
Play for the first time in years. Fairways were not taken care of at all. Felt like playing in an unkept backyard.
Burnt out course
I wasn’t expecting a course this burnt out today. Greens were fine just the fairways were just like hay and weeds mixed together. I guess there’s a water drought on this course. This was my first and last donation to this horrible course. I only played 9 even though I payed for 18 I just couldn’t put my self through it and the slow play I had to go.
Rough Shape
I know there has been a drought. But course is in awful shape. $43 to walk and hit off dirt in the middle of any fairway is crazy. Driving range was also closed. Will try again when east is eventually finished.
It’s under construction
The East course was shutdown and the west course is “burnt out” because of it… so I would think.
The staff is accommodating and friendly… from the girl at the desks to the starter to the beverage cart girl. A+
I’m guessing that it will get better
Great Course!
Staff was all friendly and helpful. Great course for beginners to get extra practice in. Pace of play was totally fine. Few rougher areas throughout the fairways and tee boxes but overall a truly solid course. Will 100% be back.
