Green Tree Golf Course
About
The standard 18-hole Green Tree Golf Course keeps in mind both skilled and inexperienced golfers. This public course has tight fairways lined with trees and greens of Rye Grass. The longest tees have a yardage of 5709, playing to a par of 70.
The golf course has three sets of teeboxes to provide an interesting game. There is also a driving range and practice green for beginners or those that would like some practice. The course is accessible from many major roads such as Routes 30 and 40 as well as the Atlantic City Expressway. The first shot is a difficult par-4 dogleg right that has water, bunkers, and heavy forest to look out for.

great staff, and super price! a lot of water, some standng water....need to improve course map to show water.....in places behind and on side greens
Lots of water....can't see side of green, and back of greens.....not sure if they just had tons of rain, or are these lil lakes and streams
Nice value, great people
Give it a try
Not a bad course for the price
Went the day after a tropical storm and it was still in decent condition. Not a bad course in the AC area.
Great public Course
Had a great time, pair up with a local man, he played this course many times and gave me alot of tips. The course was well maintained, would play it again when i'm back in the area
Great value for this course
Although the course is a little shorter for the average, it's a great place to practice your short game. Conditions were great and course was in a park-like setting.
Will definitely play here again.
This is a muni, but a well kept one. The day that we played was very windy which increased the difficulty. Definitely want to stay in the fairways. The greens had recently been aerated and were not as clean as I would have liked. Great value for the money.
Always a good time!
Nice little course, drivable greens and just challenging enough for a couple of Hackers. Friendly and professional staff.
Solid for a public course
The course was solid for a public course. Quite short and nothing too intricate but course was pretty well maintained and pace of play was great. Was able to get out about half an hour before our tee time and finished the round in just under 4 hours. Lots of bugs though so make sure to bring bug spray!
Not a bad little Muni.
I was looking for a cheap 18 to play after a couple of days in AC. Found Green Tree and with GolfNow's great deal, paid just over $40 for green fees for 2, cart and a couple of buckets for the range.
After hitting the range, waited about 15-20 minutes to tee off. It was my wife's first time out so we were a little slower than most, but she gave up at 11 and ended up breezing through in about 4 hours.
It was definitely an interesting layout with short par 4's with lots of doglegs. Fairways weren't too bad and greens were in good shape....just watch out for all the goose droppings!
All in all, it's an excellent value if you're in the area (about 1/2 an hour from AC).
Upgraded version of Blue Collar golf. You don't have to be an executive to play here.
Everyday golf for everyday men/woman and kids. The course is maintained and its not a bombers course however a few holes that hit into the wind are long. 3, 9, 18.
Great Value, No Frills Course
Based on the price I wasn't expecting much, but the course itself was very well maintained in all areas (the limited amount of driving you can do on the actual fairways helps, I'm sure). A short course that makes up for its lack of length with challenging greens that all seem very hilly. It felt like every green was designed to run balls away from the hole (sometimes off the green entirely) so you're better off aiming for spots on the green instead of directly at the flag stick. Some par 4s are very drivable for longer hitters.
Despite a nearly 5 hour round, didn't see a ranger all day and didn't even have a starter around for the 1st tee, so if you're looking for a quick round or are unfamiliar with the course this might not be the place for you when busy.
Greens were in great shape and rolled nicely
Other than the greens this course was average at best. For the money however well worth playing. Some challenging holes with water on plenty of them. more of a shotmakers type of course just not in great condition on tees and fairways.
Beautiful and challenging
10 out of 10, beautiful and challenging, lots of water to loose balls if you don't hit them straight
Overall a good course
I'm working in the area rebuilding from Hurricain Sandy. This was a nice treat to play this course whilst waiting for inspections on my job. The course is a little deceptive starting out with a short dog leg par 5 easily reachable in two good shots, when reaching the green the fast pace of the finely manicured green took me by surprise but set me up for the rest of the round. Moving on to the third 676 yard par 6 this is the first time I've even heard of a par 6 and requires 3 good long shots to give you chance at an eagle putt. As for the remaining holes you will find it a challenge as there are many short par 4 s under 300 yards that give you the opertunity to go for the green if your feeling positive. If not the positional lay up will reward you with a low score. Overall this course is great for both the long and the positional play. I would play this course again and recommend it to any novice or regular player. This price was great too $13 from golf now app.
Thanks David.
Good for the money
Fairly open course, fairways need attention, but its been so cold, course wont look good till grass wakes up. Alot of yards for the price, great deal.
Great value, great pace of play, poor conditions.
Greentree is always a great value. I played the day after some heavy rain, so the course wasn't in good condition. But It's a challenging course, and even has a par 6.
Good municipal course
Greens were in great shape and course was in good shape for the winter. This course is great for working on your game.
Overbooked, management did not care with no ranger to at least make an appearance and help with lost balls due to leaves
I realize I played this course on a Black Friday with good weather, but five hours to play this short course is absurd. I was stuck behind a FIVESOME who hacked it up the whole 18. The par six is nothing but a gimmick with a creek/ditch running through where the landing area is from the whites...move the tee box up and make it a five..the fairway is practically the width of a two way street...shorten it and speed up play. Fairways are marred with tractor tire impressions and not enough yardage markers. Cheap place for the hacker and bachelor parties.
This course was great.
As a beginner I thought that Green tree golf course was really great. Staff was very atendive, it was clean n very well maintained. I will be goin back there soon.
Bang for the buck. Short, but interesting and tight layout.
This is a muni course that is on the far low end of greens fees. No one should realistically be expecting top notch conditions and/or design/layout for the price. The fact is, it is a great course for those on a budget. The course is very short (5600 from tips), but there is plenty of water and tight tree-lined fairways to keep it challenging. Are the fairways a consistent carpet-like bent grass? No. But the greens are usually in above-average condition. The pace of play is hit or miss. It is a cheap muni, so expect to be behind some rookies from time to time. But in off-peak hours you can fly through this course. Rangers don't give much effort towards pace. Overall, for the price it is tough to be beat. Very nice nature-setting. Deer graze in the fairways at times.
Decent challenge for the Price.
Hope your short game is solid as a lot of the Par 4s are short. But a good challenge with the Par 6 on the 3rd hole. Would have liked to have scene it in the back nine instead. The course itself is in decent shape and it has a nice layout for its location. Most pairs should go through it in just over 3 hours.
