Green Tree Golf Course
About
The standard 18-hole Green Tree Golf Course keeps in mind both skilled and inexperienced golfers. This public course has tight fairways lined with trees and greens of Rye Grass. The longest tees have a yardage of 5709, playing to a par of 70.
The golf course has three sets of teeboxes to provide an interesting game. There is also a driving range and practice green for beginners or those that would like some practice. The course is accessible from many major roads such as Routes 30 and 40 as well as the Atlantic City Expressway. The first shot is a difficult par-4 dogleg right that has water, bunkers, and heavy forest to look out for.

nice course for vacation
The guy at check in was reluctant to give me my free basket of range balls even though the app said that I was entitled to it, have your email verification ready. Pace of play could have been better. They may want to pair up single players with doubles in the future. Both front and back nine have numerous par 4's that are reachable with driver, some with hybrids. Granted they are guarded by water or bunkers, this also slows down pace of play as we needed to wait for players in front of us to exit the green before we tee'd off. Another issue we ran into was that the next tee box was very close to the previos green. If you over shoot the green you end up very close to the group in front of you.
I dont think this course has enough real estate to be a par 72 course. They should consider shortening up the already short par 4's into par 3's to give themselves more room on their current layout.
The course conditions were very good, they take great care of the course. For the price, especially during peak summer hours, you would be mistaken to play elsewhere.
Great course
Course was in very good shape. Only thing is on Sunday nights they open course to the kids for a league and teaching. Slows the pace down quite a bit when you have 5 kids in front of you.
Course was great and very well maintained and for the price it was perrect
excellent value
I enjoyed my round and will be back The course is good for my skill level yet still has some very challenging holes. nice location in the country
Amateur older player
challenging and fun to play. We tried to play aggressively but found It better to pick your shot locations because of the many water hazards.
good value
For the price this course is a great value for the money.
Surprise
Green Tree golf course was a pleasant surprise! The course proved to be more challenging than what was expected. The course has a little something for everyone. The reasonable rate will definitely bring me back again. The only negative comment would be that the cart path was quite bumpy! Overall we had a great day!
A lovely little course
Greentree provides some very scorable holes, but you do have to place your shots well. Also has the first Par 6 I've ever played.
Self Esteem Booster
By no means is this course something to write home about. The teeboxes are unkempt, the yardage indicators are inaccurate, and the locals have zero etiquette. That being said, this is a fun and easy course which rivals going to the driving range. If you want practice on your game, go here. I played one of the best rounds of my life here and only paid $12 for it. To sum it up, this is no Pebble Beach, but it sure does make good golfers look great.
Home town
Look for a good practice round this is a great place. Nothing fancy but it does the job. I play often when I want to get a round in. The guys are nice and give discounts here and there. Happy over all
Great course for the money
I have been paying at Greentree for about 5 years. This is the most improved course in Atlantic county over the last two years. The staff does an in refi me no. For the county budget there are given. No, it is not a high end course, but very challenging and a great deal for the dollar.
Great Value
First time playing here and I thought it was a terrific value. It was a nice course in good condition, reasonable challenging and we were treated well. What more can you ask.
Why I picked the course
I picked the course because one of my threesome needed an inexpensive place to play. The $12 noon time tee time fit the bill for this beautiful day. My big problem with Green Tree is the quantity of water hazards, some at unfair places, e.g., 3rd hole center of fairway stream. Whoever set the hole placements this day tried to give us as many sidehill placements as possible. Fairway shots were not always rewarded with decent lies. Cheap price was the benefit. If I'd have paid full price, I would have not have gone.
Great county course
This is a great little 5300 yard course to practice your skills. My challenge to any golfer is to try to shoot par from the back tees. If you can do this you are quite a player. The staff is great especially justin,
fun and sporty
I play this course often. It's fun and sporty with the most reasnable prices in the area.
Good Short Course
Only 5,500 yards from back tees but a fun and reasonably interesting challenge. And not all holes are so short: a 676 yard par-6, 2 par-5s of 459-468, a 397 yard par-4. I thought the slope of 108 was understated.
Greens were in great shape.
A great value at my $12 cost!
Fun course to play and they have a 667 par 6 hole
Course was in excellent condition, greens were also in great condition. Leaves on the green were a little disturbing but that's the price to pay this time of the year.
challenging tree lined fairways & water holes
great time staff is excellent, greens in good conditin & driving range
Short,narrow tree lined fairways
We were in AC for a few days and decided to play here for twelve bucks.
It was an ok course but too many leaves and hidden ponds and creeks.
We still had fun.
Practice Course Only
The course was in pretty bad shape. The tee boxes were matty and uneven. Fairways were hit or miss in regard to finding a nice lie with grass and the rough was in pretty bad shape.
Having said all that, we got a hot deal on the course and only paid $13 a person, so it was better than going to hit a bucket of balls, but I would not pay more than that for a round here.
This is a great course to play if you want to work on your iron shots because most of the holes are relatively short and you can tee off with a mid iron to get inside of 150 yards and work on your various approach shots, but I would not play here otherwise.
