Getting Better Every Day!
Centerton has been improving greatly with the new owners. Greens and fairways were excellent. Little challenging to find your ball in the rough, but you aren’t supposed to be in there anyway! Centerton is absolutely beautiful. We are ecstatic to witness the transformation to what will hopefully be its former glory!
Nice course for the price
This was the second time we played the course and it’s in great shape. The bunkers were actually sand even though I didn’t want to be in them. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape too. The only complaint would be when we got there our tee time was at 318. We didn’t tee off till 4pm. The checkin guy was very apologetic but starting 45 min late was frustrating.
Getting there
Fairways and greens were in pretty good shape compared to what I heard they used to be like. Not enough carts. Had to wait over 40 minutes passed my Tee time. I wasn't happy about that.
Not amazing, but acceptable.
Courses like Cobbs Creek and FDR are basically unplayable. This is a notch above that. I guess it’s on par with Cresson. But it’s a notch below the Wedgwoods and Westwoods of the world, which I don’t consider anything worth writing home about.
It’s a nice, forgiving course perfect for beginners and intermediate players. I had my best round of the season here. Almost every tee shot is open and long enough to drive. Not the best maintained course. Cart paths were rough. Fairways not super trim. Weeds all over the course. But it’s passable and I had a good time.
Good course
The only reason I couldn’t give it more stars is because the Covid prevented off site amenities from being open. Staff was very friendly they were prepared when I arrived the course was great. Can’t wait to go back.
Course in good shape but processes need improvement
When we reported for our tee time, we discovered that the course had booked four people for each tee time even though only two people could play at a time. Very strange. The pro shop person claimed that they could not change the tee time form online and that seems odd because we've played several times lately and each course has its online tee time form reflect only two golfers at a time and golfers about 15 minutes apart. That double booking made things crowded and even though the golfers moved well, it is a failure by the course people to establish a safe and reasonable tee time.
The course was well kept
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was well maintained. I went with my 14 yr old son both he and I can’t wait to return.
Thanks for all the hard work
Tee times are a mess beware
They are taking tee times in 8 minute increments and trying to follow the pandemic restrictions. It is impossible. I had a tee time around 11:15 and got off at 12:20. Waited every hole. Course is in the best shape it has been in quite some time. Please be aware of the tee time mess and extremely slow play.
Good deal
The course had an affordable price, no wait time and good rate of play. The greens were rolling at a good pace and were pretty true. The course is under improvement with the new owners which is a plus. Overall good experience.
Course is coming back !
Course is in much better shape. Had a great day to golf. Round went well with new requirements. Staff was organized and friendly.
Coming along nice
Total upgrade from the way Centerton used to be. Tee boxes, greens, and fairways are being taken care of now.and good shape for the price.
enthusiastic exciting metamorphosis
I began playing golf in 2016.
Centerton was at it's lowest anyone I knew had seen.
I knew Mr. Carmen and the course as we supplied motor and pump service to Centerton since it opened.
I watched the lease status and was happy to see someone finally leased the land. The conditions were bad, very bad.
Playing one day soon after the lease was final, we met an owner and some of his staff playing a round and inspecting the course. We let them play through and they engaged conversation. We left with promising thoughts for the courses future. We are watching the rebirth of a great golf course!!!
Course improving every time I play
Every time I come to Centerton and play, the course gets in better and better condition. Played course on 5/5/20 and found the conditions to be very good. New owners are doing a great job improving the course conditions, no easy feat considering how bad the previous owners let the course get. If you haven't played Centerton in last 6 months go and play a round, you will be impressed on how much the course has improved in that time. I plan on playing more at Centerton and will most likely join their 1962 club and save money at the same time!!
