Centerton Golf Club

The course is in great shape, especially after all the rain we have been getting. Staff was very friendly and I will definitely be coming back to Centerton soon.

I’d rather play off Frankenstein’s fat foot than have to hit a 275yd drive in the fairway then have to play out of sand bc the fairway condition is brutal

I have Played at some public courses paying the same rate n they are in way better shape. The sand traps were terrible. Some greens were bad. Some fairways were ridiculous. Ohhhh well.

Haven’t been to centerton in a few years (new owners) course is in slightly better shape than I remember, but there are still some issues with conditions. Bare patches in some spots, especially on the fringes and some fairways. Greens roll slow with hardly any break, so easier for the novice golfer. The course layout is forgiving, however the rough is very thick, so any advantage you have with the layout is swallowed up. Like backyard after about a week of not mowing thick. It also rained during our round, so I won’t take anything out on the course for that, but if it’s wet, or rains a lot the day before your round you will slosh around a largely wet course. One of the Par 4s in the back 9 was so wet in the fairway landing area, they just shortened the hole to a par 3, which was weird because you wound up playing back to back par 3s. Overall, I can tell the new owners are putting some money into the course, but it seems like the first bit of money went to upgrading banquet space and off course amenities, which we did not use. For a $42 golf now hot deal on a Sunday morning, I would say the round was worth it. I probably wouldn’t pay much more than that.

It’s improving. The fairways and greens are improving. Quite a bit of crab grass but it’s been a hot rough summer. For the money you can’t beat the course. A few cool holes including a couple par 5s which are reachable in two. Fun course overall. It was pretty soggy but we had quite a bit of rain a few days prior.

Friendly staff, great layout, reasonable rates. 1962 club is a great deal. Good pace of play during round, and course conditions were great considering the time of year. Outside bar area was a nice way to finish the round. Cart girl stopped by multiple times during the round as well. Will continue to return, would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonable way to have a good time.

Due to rainy weather prior days course was wet and grass high, greens slow, layout I like, but hard to find balls in the rough due to Narrow cut fairways and high grass. but perfect weather

Course had missing greens that weren’t mentioned before booking and all greens where terrible full of bits of sand and loose grass.

Played this course on 8/11. Greens were in horrible shape most were covered in sand with tire mark all over the greens. I walked off after 9 holes due to the quality of the course it was very disappointing. I would recommend players not to waste their time here. Overall very dissatisfied with the centerton.

I have played this course for many years and this is the worst it's ever been. Definitely won't be playing here again for the rest of this year. might try again next year.

This is a county course in Lumberton NJ Its wide open and very forgiving. To be fair the course was extremely wet after Tropical Storm Isiais and daily rains. Some of the greens were top dressed with sand which we found confusing in August. One Par 4 had to be converted to a par 3 due to flooding. Golf Now price was $28 which we found fair for the conditions. Will play this course again . It was nice to have a Beverage Cart on course due to the heat.

Pace of play can be slower than normal at times

so for the first time playing the course it wasnt too bad. The fairways are really not fairways. The grass is not thick and is spotty, there isnt a first cut for rough, you are faced with a rough that is heavily crabgrass. The greens were good, however very slow due to the weather. the flag placements were good. Another downside, were the tee boxes as there isn't alot of grass. Overall, for the money not too bad,

Been to quite a few and this is the worst overall golf course in South Jersey.

The course was in the best condition I have ever seen it. The new ownership is really doing a great job at turning this course around. Pace was a little slow as we played our round just short of 5 hours but it wasn’t horrible.

I have seen this course in better shape but it appears to have quite a bit of play than what I have seen in the past. I still enjoyed my day at Centerton.
