Flanders Valley Golf Club - White/Blue Course

I have played this course for many years. It is a shame what it has become. Bunkers full of water, with no rain for a few days and no sand.

Round took over 5 hours and never saw a ranger, but they had at least 4 starters! There were at least 4 holes open in front of the group holding everything up. That was as far as we could see.

It was absolute torture, not one time could we get to a tee and hit. When we got to the 10th tee, there was a group on the green (the one holding everyone up), one in the fairway and 2 waiting on the tee.

The course is well maintained and interesting with the choice of 4 9 hole combos. The Gold course has a great layout in the hills.

Great day on Blue White today. Though I did t play well, love this track. Keep it in the short grass here- rough is a penalty -definitely an extra stroke to get on the massive greens. Looking forward to the next round.

This is a tough course. I played the Gold and Red. It is hard. The course requires and demands precision and accuracy. They holes are very challenging and the pin placements can be extremely tricky. The bunkers have very hard sand so I wouldn't rate them well.

Flanders can be great. Its just that you will have that foursome in front of you that are three holes behind the pace of play at 9, and you tell the proshop, and they will not do anything. Six hour rounds are not ok

I played both of these courses for years. I rarely played anywhere else. Then the facility was mismanaged from a great facility to nothing more than average. In fact, at one point both courses were in horrible condition. They have brought the courses back from that absolute low, however they still have a long way to go. I think the county needs to recalibrate their thinking and spend some of the revenue garnered and put it back into the course. For years I have seen the exact same issues, sand traps need to be rebuilt, tee boxes are in very poor shape etc. I now play just about anywhere else instead of here.

Came across this course on GolfNow for $1 each (Gold-Red)! Read it would be hilly and spent another $41 for the cart (Could have walked). The gold was hilly, but the red was flat. After 2 days of rain, and greens being aerated 10 days earlier, the course was in GREAT(!) condition. I only had to fix a handful of pitch marks because the greens were so firm! The fairways were in great shape and the rough was rough. I really enjoyed the course layout. Some streams and ponds and REAL doglegs! There are 4 sets of tees, I played gold and my Wife played the red: which suited our distances. The weather was chilly and windy enough that the outdoor bar was not open- too bad! Had a GREAT day playing here for the first time and we will be back for more!

It’s sad. This course has a great layout and could be a top notch place. Unfortunately they only care about a fast buck. I showed up to play, they claimed I booked for 3 on GolfNow - FALSE. Also the greens were aerated this week and they decided against telling anyone so they can make their money. At least drop the price a few bucks. Greens normally are shag carpets anyways. Oh don’t forget the pins are placed on slopes and whoever places them doesn’t golf or have a clue how to fix an old hole. They should think about firing the short old guy who yells at people for not being 45 minutes early. If you like a good layout and don’t care about anything golf related play here. If your a half decent golfer who loves the game, don’t waste your time or money here.

Played the Gold/Red 18.

Overall, it was pretty nice. There are some spots in which TLC is needed, but there isn’t enough of it to steer you away from playing here.
