Flanders Valley Golf Course has received praise as not only one of the best public golf courses in New Jersey, but also as one of the best in the U.S. Flanders offers two 18-hole championship courses, White-to-Blue and Red-to-Gold. The courses are spread across over 400 acres of Morris County's idyllic countryside. The White-to-Blue Course has a more traditional layout that sprawls across mostly flat terrain. The golf course may lack elevation changes but there are an abundance of mature trees to contend with on either side of the course, making it very tight in some spots. One of the most memorable holes is the par-4 14th, nicknamed "Top and Right." This slight dogleg left hole has a pond bordering the entire left side of the fairway.

Senior struggle
I really enjoyed the course but as a 73 year old senior playing from the senior tees I routinely had a 200 yard second shot (3 wood) which I can no longer hit...
I did miss using some 7, 8, and 9 irons.
First Round of Season
Course was in good condition, considering all the rain we had the previous two days. It was cart path only so our group walked. Greens were in great condition but slow.
Fairways were very soft but I blame the rain for that.
March Golf
Chilly day. There was a frost delay and an outing (must have got a great deal). Our time was for 11:50 and we pretty much got out on time. Normally there are 2 18's but we played the Red and then the White (I think normally it's White/Blue and Red/Gold). Got a bit messy at the turn with mixing fresh golfers with those coming off #9. 2 hrs on the front, 2.5 on the back. Conditions were decent - greens slow and dressed but not too torn up, pretty smooth for fuzzy greens. Was not a bad day for golf outside of a little chill.
The course was good condition.
I had great experience today, and got first hole in one in Blue Hole #3 179 yards during 8-year playing golf.
Upsetting
1st time playing. Was running 5 minutes late. Called ti let the oro shop know. Was told no worries, no one else going out after yiu on the holes your playing. Ok great. Got there and it was logged jammed. He some how forgot to mention that things had been running late the entire day because of frost in the morning. So i payed 60 something dollars to play 14 holes. Shoumd do something for the guys teeing off in the afternoon that they know your not getting yiur moneys worth.
