Flanders Valley Golf Club - White/Blue Course
About
Flanders Valley Golf Course has received praise as not only one of the best public golf courses in New Jersey, but also as one of the best in the U.S. Flanders offers two 18-hole championship courses, White-to-Blue and Red-to-Gold. The courses are spread across over 400 acres of Morris County's idyllic countryside. The White-to-Blue Course has a more traditional layout that sprawls across mostly flat terrain. The golf course may lack elevation changes but there are an abundance of mature trees to contend with on either side of the course, making it very tight in some spots. One of the most memorable holes is the par-4 14th, nicknamed "Top and Right." This slight dogleg left hole has a pond bordering the entire left side of the fairway.

Great course
The Flanders Valley complex is a golfers paradise. My experience was great, walked to started said hello, had me down, went inside, everything was already taken care of, got my cart and golfed away. Could not be easier.
This course is well worth playing. They also have a Red/Gold course too that is worth playing.
I have played this course many times before and have never been disappointed with it. Well worth it for the money and I would pay even more for this type of course.
Still a good option for a public Morris County course
Flanders Valley Golf Course blue/white is a pretty course with tight fairways and varying greens.
Ok course, greens are too big
It would be nice if we were told that the course was aerated, a couple days before. Decent course but what a waste of money when the greens are full of holes and you can't putt. NOT FAIR!!!
Solid Course for the deal
I was able to book this course with a GolfNow Hotdeal for $12.00. For that price, can any course really be bad? Even so, this was a pleasant course. There are just enough variety between the holes to keep things interesting - especially once you get into the Golds and can get some elevation changes. The greens had recently been aerated (guess that explains the low price), but otherwise it was in fine condition.
There wasn't much of a ranger presence on the course, but I guess that's expected for a county course.
If you can find a similar deal, Flanders is a great value for your money.
OK golf but not real interesting layout!
Really liked the setting, running through the forest and all, but all the holes on the second nine seemed like they were a copy of the front nine and made things boring after a while. Nice finishing 18th hole and was a real challenge.
greens in great shape.
I played 5/1 not 5/2. Course in best shape in 10 years.
Well maintained
Played in a light drizzle on a Monday morning, so course was not crowded. Very lush fairways and challenging rough. The greens were rolling true. Greens had a lot of character, both subtle and pronounced slopes. Would definitely suggest paying there!
County Course with little interest in the customer
We found the majority of the staff to lack any respect for the customer and to be very unfriendly. We have found this with several of the Morris County courses and know many people that feel the same way. We hope others stop and write their comments about this in an effort to bring their attention to this lack of customer focus. Fortunately there are many other courses that are a pleasure to golf so we will make them our choice for the future.
excellant shape for early April
Get out now to this course if you don't keep the ball in the fairway before the rough grows. FAirways are in great shape. Greens are hard , so need to roll onto green or be able to deaden the ball. Only negative is slow play. Back 9 took 2 1/2 hours on a Monday due to slow play.
Early season golf.
The greens are in great shape. The course was a little rough, however, it is early in the season. Just like everywhere else, the course needs a little more time to make itself more presentable.
big hype but disappointing
tavelled over 50 miles to play what was supposed to be one of the best muni courses. First of all the best 9, the gold was closed. We
played the red which was good. Then we played the blue which
with all the leaves not removed was a nightmare. We lost balls
on the fairway galore. Very frustrating and not worth the effort or
the money at this time of year.
Flanders Red - Gold is a great challenge and very scenic.
The course offers different tee boxes to allow you to play at your level but high handicappers may be overmatched since white tees are 6400 yd+. Great views and fantastic colors during fall change but tough place to play with leaves everwhere, even covering many greens. Walking the course could be a challenge if not in decent shape. Overall I look forward to playing there again with a little knowledge of the layout.
Worth the money!
The course remains one of the best (Red-Gold) in the Morris County park system. Worth the money!
Greens were in best condition in years
Course was In great shape. Greens were very true. Fairways were in very good condition. There were some areas of the rough that need some work but it wasnt horrible.
Loved it
I played the Red-Gold course the day I was there and though the place was in immaculate shape. The back 9 is extremely challenging going up and down hills. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Great county course
Played this course a number of times this summer and would have to say I enjoyed most of out trips there. Can be very busy at times so getting a good booking time can be a challenge. The course itself in is great shape for a county course. The facilities are a bit outdated but not in bad shape. Ranger keeps pace moving along which is missing at some courses. No refreshment cart during your round but you can get some thing on the turn if your willing to wait at the concession area. I rate this county course up there in my judgement comparing it to others around the state.
