Slow play
Course is in decent condition even though it’s been dry. Greens were hard and fast again due to lack of rain. Some tee boxes need some maintenance and we had two temporary tee boxes. Course has a nice layout and is a little tough. Slow play in front of us makes for a long day, need some personnel to keep people moving and hard to get in some kind of rhythm. Staff very friendly at shop.
Bring Friends
I've played this course a few times each year, over the past 10 years or so. I used to walk the course, but age and knee problems have changed that over the last 2 or 3 years. I would still recommend walking the front 9, as it's fairly flat with a downhill par 3 4th! However, the back immediately starts an uphill, downhill, adventure that make club selection very important!
The course is in very good shape, tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Pin position can determine your score each time you play this course! Birdie to bogey can occur on almost every hole if you are not a fairly good putter.
Overall this course is one of the best public courses you'll play at a reasonable price. Other area courses are lower priced, but pay a little extra to play this one!
Scenic Layout with Excellent Course Condition
Tees off at 12:30 on a Monday. We were a twosome and played in 3 hours. Course has some scenic holes with some raised greens. The course is in very good conditions especially when you consider how hot the summer has been. We paid $39.00 with a cart. They have gold, blue, white and red tees with significant differences so there is a tee for every golfer.
Cut the grass!!
Hanover is a nice golf course but it is poorly maintained. For some stupid reason the rough around the entire golf course is so long that it’s almost impossible to get out of it. This results in higher scores, frustration, and a very slow pace of play. The last time I played Hanover which was three or four years ago I complained to the management of the golf course that the rough was higher than at any course I had played that year. Unfortunately the same situation existed last weekend. I’ll try in another four years but in the meantime be beware.
course was in good condition
enjoyed playing on this course, however it was crowded and slow moving
One of the Great ones
Came here because i drove by many times. Comparing with Gamble Ridge Golf Course, this place is way better and way nicer staff follow by better course.
Very challenging Greens and the course for starters and moderate golfers.
i will Give 5 out of 5 and will always go back because its nice, its good price, they are friendly, well maintained, and its just over all good.
Great for new golfers
Course is in great shape!! The lay out is wide open great for those first starting!! There are some challenging holes!! All and all a beautiful day to golf!! Would play here again the price was right!! Staff was good!! Pace of play no complaints!! And really good greens also!!
DO NOT USE GOLFNOW!!!!!!!!!
We got rained out with thunder and lightning. The course was closed.
GOLFNOW Can not be contacted by phone, no cancellation online as the FAQ say, and the chat system dumped the FAQ instructions and then dropped me without responding to my input!!!!!
Great Day
First time here even though I’ve lived in the area for 9 years. Pleasantly surprised. The course was in good shape. I liked the layout. Golf cart was clean. Staff was friendly.
Course in Great Shape
Recent limited play has allowed course to grow in & staff has worked hard to keep it groomed.
Nice course
The greens are always fast here. They have recently done a lot of ground maintenance and the course shows it. The course plays well and pace of play is excellent. Highly recommend.
