About
Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park offers a casual and enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. For more of a challenge, golfers can try the blue tees while the white and the red tees are more forgiving of errant shots. The course sprawls across mostly flat terrain but there are a few subtly elevated greens to contend with. The layout is situated amidst native wetlands, which come into play on many of the holes. The back nine is more challenging than the front, with the toughest hole being the par-5 13th. At 455 yards, it's not a long hole but there are two large fairway bunkers and an elevated green that is surrounded by even more sand. The best view on the golf course can also be enjoyed from the middle of the green on this hole.

Don’t waste your money on this course
Go elsewhere, this course is chewed up. Fairways and tee boxes horrible shape. Teenage kids at the pro shop need to be trained on customer service. Never playing here again.

Considering that the course is being upgraded - course is a good reasonably priced course to play.

Great value, course is developing well!
I was visiting the area for a wedding, and had some time. I got a reservation the night before; $40 total as a Senior. I read all the reviews, very conflicting. Some loved it, some had harsh things to say. I thought it was surprisingly good.
First, it is not a country club, and don't expect it to be. It obviously gets a lot of play. Second, it is not really a difficult course; good golfers would probably shoot 5-10 strokes better than their handicap.
But I enjoyed it. The course was full, yet we played in 4 hours and 15 minutes. Greens were consistent, on the slow side, but not ridiculously so. Yes, there were a number of unrepaired ball marks, but I didn't have one that interfered with my play...they were on the edges of the green. I didn't lose one ball in the rough, and while it was thick in parts, it was not THAT thick. I saw no garbage on the course as some reviews have intimated. Either I missed it, they cleaned it up, or it was never there.
You can see how much time and effort they are putting into it. While it will never be a CC, it will be even better a year from now.
As several others have said, the staff was unbelievably nice, friendly and accommodating.
As many public courses are, the holes are close together. You need to be aware of this as you play.
I am between a 3 and a 4 on rating, but to balance out those "1's" out there, I am giving it a four.

Needs a trim
Greens were in decent shape, but they really need enforce fixing the ball marks on them. Like putting through a mine field. Bunkers were like cement! Send someone out to rake them in the AM. The fairways were in dire need of a trim, but it’s been so hot n dry that they probably haven’t grown much before today. Also, the tee boxes are a disgrace. Uneven and all chopped and chewed up from the last 2 weeks + of use. Like this course for the value and location, but come in guys. You’ve put in so much effort to fix the ponds on the 6 and 7th hole, other areas of the course, and general maintenance, are lacking.

Progressively worse
I’ve played here a good 6+ times this year and it just keeps getting worse. I unfortunately may be done with this place. Staff is friendly though..

Needs work
This course has potential but needs quite a bit of work. Staff is excellent, the layout is fine, the course conditions are lacking quite a bit. Lots of trouble finding balls in the first cut. Clippings left behind, rough cut way too high, good amount of trash laying around the course which is not acceptable and the greens were in particularly bad shape. With that said, the staff is very friendly, the cart girls make their way around frequently so from a service standpoint they do a great job. I’m not a very high standard/ high expectations person as I don’t play the best courses but meadows really needs to spend a bit more time working on the course conditions.
