About
Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park offers a casual and enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. For more of a challenge, golfers can try the blue tees while the white and the red tees are more forgiving of errant shots. The course sprawls across mostly flat terrain but there are a few subtly elevated greens to contend with. The layout is situated amidst native wetlands, which come into play on many of the holes. The back nine is more challenging than the front, with the toughest hole being the par-5 13th. At 455 yards, it's not a long hole but there are two large fairway bunkers and an elevated green that is surrounded by even more sand. The best view on the golf course can also be enjoyed from the middle of the green on this hole.

Great start to the season.
The crew at Meadows are hard at work. Course was in great shape, starter was friendly and welcoming, and the ranger kept the pace perfect without ever rushing us.
The playing Pace is very slow
The playing Pace is very slow, Staff are nice, but it need rangers to manage players in the course, some people talk to loud and play Pace is way too slow.

Nice course the greens were recently aerated so the greens were full of holes
we played behind a family with young children, pace of play was predictably slow.

Course needs work, but its still early
Just all the things you would expect for a budget friendly course early season. A little confusion trying to find the next hole and no one keeping pace of play for knuckleheads hittgin 3-4 times into the water. Greens were just aerated and were a sandy mess, trouble sinking putts under a foot. Seems like theyre putting a little work in and hoping it gets better with nicer weather.

Temp greens and aerated greens
Wasn’t told greens were aerated & not filled in. Also back nine had some temp greens, while crew worked to finish aeration

Great value
Can’t beat value for this course. Good size, nice fairways, 2 par 5s. Unfortunately when we went they were working on the greens which meant we actually had to skip an entire hole, and putt twice in the fairway. Also about 6 greens were just super bumpy and unputtable. Still love playing here can’t beat the price and staff is great.

It’s fine if you’re desperate for a tee time. 5+ Hours on average. Shooting range out there with how close all the holes are.

Subpar grounds
The course has rough fairways and greens with bare patches divots green marks mud construction areas and tee boxes that could use alot of TLC. For a serious golfer(not me) this would be an issue. But the green fees are reasonable the course is convenient and staff is friendly and always have a snack cart driving around which is nice. Could use one or two port-o-john out there as well and a water fountain bench ball cleaners would b nice.
I enjoy the course despite its shortcomings and will golf there again.

Great place to get in 9 holes after work. I must have played 20 times last season and always a polite staff.

new owners same problems
Haven't played this course since new owners. Same problems exist...SLOW play, no rangers, makes for very SLOW inconsiderate golfers. we had a 2some in front of a 3some and where held up from 4th hole on. Why is a 2some slower than 3some???1 of the 3 women playing in front kept hitting 2 balls repeatedly, THEN looking for her ball which only traveled 80yards or fishing for balls in water or in brush????just absurd behavior. some holes where rearranged on front 9. but still in danger of getting hit on par 3 tee box, from what used to be old no.1 hole

Decent but you'll need a helmet.
Decent course besides the fact that you need to make your own tee box. There are no tee box markers which is very odd. Besides that the course was fine. There are also a lot of groups of senior citizens who play like snails, without any courtesy for anyone else. They definitely need to do a better job of keeping the pace moving at a reasonable speed. For half of my round I have waited behind 2 groups on every hole.
