About
Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park offers a casual and enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. For more of a challenge, golfers can try the blue tees while the white and the red tees are more forgiving of errant shots. The course sprawls across mostly flat terrain but there are a few subtly elevated greens to contend with. The layout is situated amidst native wetlands, which come into play on many of the holes. The back nine is more challenging than the front, with the toughest hole being the par-5 13th. At 455 yards, it's not a long hole but there are two large fairway bunkers and an elevated green that is surrounded by even more sand. The best view on the golf course can also be enjoyed from the middle of the green on this hole.

To Many Obstacles
The course is surrounded by rope barriers. Just about every hole involves climbing over a three-foot-high rope to get to the fairway. Basically cart path only! NOT a good thing when you have a handicap. There are no options for handicap access to the holes so one must trip over the ropes to play.
Also, the pace of play was terrible. A young group of kids in front of us hitting several balls per swing. No ranger in-sight for the entire day.
We quit after nine holes - which took well over 2 hours.

Average
Disclaimer: it rained all week & its November.
Staff - friendly, accommodating, overall nice folks.
Fairways and greens were average but have potential, lots of play this season might’ve made them worse than in previous years. Geese poop (not their fault) coupled with numerous bare patches from unattended pitch marks troubled a handful of greens.
The course routing leaves much to be desired as cart pathes and walking lines cross in front of 3 or 4 tee boxes.
Overall, if its a close course (within 15mins) for you I understand the appeal but overall an average course that I wouldn’t want to pay more than the $40 that I paid to play.
Again, it has potential and I hope it receives the care/maintenance that could boost it to be a good course within the coming months.

Not bad for price, pace of play is horrible
As stated in other reviews, the pace of play at this course is terrible. With tee times only ten minutes apart, any afternoon times are likely to be severely backed up. We had a 1:50 tee time and didn't tee off until 2:30. We ended up getting through 8 holes in a little over 3 hours which obviously wasn't ideal. The course conditions aren't great but its still playable for the most part (aside from a few bunkers filled with puddles). At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

November Golf
55° degrees @ 8:30am Scheduled Tee Time. Got to 70° as the day went on.
20 Minute Delay which set the pace for the day. Slow groups in front of us.
Tee boxes were in decent shape. Repaired quite a bit on certain holes but well maintained. Fairways were in good condition. Clear of leaves and divots were repaired. Made for some extra distance on tee shots. Bunkers could use a little more care but for November, they were decent. Greens were clean, decent speed and pin placement today was good for all holes. Some repairs needed on back 9 greens due to some rough patches.
Food from the grill was great. Definitely take advantage of pre-ordering your food if you can on the 8th or 9th hole. Cart drinks fairly priced and very cold.
Overall, I was happy with the course. Looks like they are making alot of repairs and additions to create a better experience.

Course has potential
I like the layout, some strategic hazards. Many tee boxes looked beat up, some patchy greens. Some cart paths unpaved with potholes. Fix all these things and it's a pretty good course. Staff was friendly enough. I hope management spends some $$ to fix the above.

Could be a good course if run properly
Way overbooked.backed up on every hole.need to have a ranger roaming around to keep pace of play

Over played due to COVID -9.
This course was overplayed and not in good condition due to covid -9. Price was adequate as a result of this .

Good value for the money
Just to get out this time of year was a plus. The course seemed a little beat up but was definitely playable. Only real complaint was the amount of leaves. Lost balls in the middle of the fairway is a real turnoff. The staff was courteous & very friendly. Overall our day was great & we’ll definitely play here again next season.

Getting very nice!
New management is really stepping up and doing. Ton of work on the course making it the nicest I have seen it. Guessing next year it will be very nice ...kudos for putting some TLC into the place.
