About
Great Gorge Golf Club is situated on 500 acres of naturally preserved land, nestled in the Vernon Valley between the Wawayanda and Pochuck Mountain Peaks. Designed by George Fazio in 1970 on behalf of Hugh Hefner for his Great Gorge Playboy Club, the course boasts 3 championship nines: Rail, Lake and Quarry. With four tee box options, the course is manageable for newer golfers yet challenging for lower handicap players, making Great Gorge an ideal venue for all golfers.

Open fairways and consistent greens
Tough for any first timer getting around but after that it’s a breeze to get through the course. Only wish they would allow you to pick which to to play.

The course was in great shape very challenging greens will be back
Terrific Starter
The Starter helped us tremendously. One of our foursome got stuck in a traffic delay and was half an hour late. The Starter handled this professionally and pleasantly, and our round was saved. (I don’t know the Starter’s name. He wore a University of South Carolina logo on his shirt, since his son went to school there.)
This gentleman is a Pro!
GREAT value for a very nice course
Staff was very friendly, course in excellent condition. Only drawback is a lot of the bunkers were filled with rock and the cart paths need to be paved/leveled
Hidden Gem!!
Haven’t played there is a long time due to them closing but they are back and it’s great course in awesome shape. Spent summertime in the area as a kid amd it such a beautiful area. Sad history of such a great place. Give it a shot and keep GG going b c they direction it’s going will be awesome. Thank and kudos to jack the starter he is great amd it was fun talking about the playboy club and action park days of the area. Everyone was so friendly and helpful food was good also and the back deck is gorgeous have fun hit em straight Sorry I didn’t get all the workers names but kudos to them all.
