Bowling Green Golf Club

Second time this year I've played Bowling Green. Like the course a lot. Got this round for a REALLY discounted rate on GolfNow, which was outstanding. Fairways are still in fantastic shape for this time of year. Only complaint was that they had just aerated the greens, and it was not mentioned when I booked the tee time. Clearly, that's why the price was lower, but it should still be mentioned when you're looking to book. Having said that though, course still looked good. Very well taken care of. Recommend to anyone.

This is a nice course, but the pace of play was too slow. They really need to have a ranger on the course moving the large number of slow golfers along.

Incurred a 1 hour frost delay (8am). Pro shop supplied free coffee to golfers waiting. All in all a great place to golf.

Very well maintained course...the greens were fast and the fairways were plush and full. loved the narrow fairway design and the doglegs. made for a enjoyable round that challenged you at every turn. only negative was there were leaves on the course but they were out blowing them away all day.

A fun round. Greens were true and fairways were in great shape. The only problem was losing a few balls in the leaves, which has to be expected this time of year

The greens at this course have never been better. I could not find an unrepaired bal mark nor an imperfection on the putting surface. The leaves are starting to falls, but the grounds crew was out there working hard. Great layout and the owners are making great strides to making a good course great.

Decent course. Hole #4 is very gimmicky. A par 5 with a very sharp dogleg and a layup off the tee. Other than that I liked it. The greens are in fair shape. The tee boxes were shaggy or bare at spots but level. It was my first time here and I'd come back.

Always a good experience at Bowling Green. Staff monitors pace of play.

Fun course. Good value. Nice course for walking. Very nice staff. Has a full driving range including practice bunkers which is rare for a public course - a nice feature. Tee boxes a little chewed up and a little uneven. Greens were aerated and had sand when I played so were molasses slow but that is in the name of maintenance so what can you do about that? Would play again and would recommend.

The entire putting greens and tee boxs were aerated. The proshop emplyee told us that the cousre will not aerated till mid Setember over the phone five days before we played. Very disappointed!!

Course was in beautiful shape. Every green was true and fast. Played as a twosome and after catching up with a foursome on the third hole they let us play through. 3.5 hour round. 58 bucks on a Thursday from golf now definetly worth it. I don't think I'd pay 108 on a weekend but that's more of a budget thing then it not being worth it!

Very nice coarse not worth what they charge in comparison to courses in area. Worth playing if you can find the deals

Course was surprisingly dry for all the rain we've had.
Greens slowed by all the moisture.
Tee'd off @ 3:30 done by 7:30.(4 some)
Well worth the $$

Water does come into play on a few holes but can be avoided. Course condition was in great shape, greens played slower than the practice green. Play the correct tees and you will have an enjoyable round. The staff was friendly and the starter was a great guy who even praised us for playing the front nine in two hours flat! Played late afternoon on a hot deal...great price! Will definitely play again when I am in the area!

This is a very classic Northeast course layout and a great track. Secluded in the woods. It's about an hour drive from NYC, but the pace of play is amazing and totally worth it. The rangers do their job really well. I'd rather spend an extra 20-30 minutes in the car each way and play a 4 hour round here, than a 5 hr. + round closer to the city. The conditions were great. Greens could have been a little quicker. Overall a great experience, though. Will definitely go back.

This has been a great course for many years. A little to expensive, but I got a great price on Golf Now, so that really makes it a great deal!

The course is tight (tree lined) which makes the course challenging. The greens were in good shape and they had a decent practice facility. The only drawback is tha it doesn't drain well, it rained 2-days before and we still had to stay on the cart path. Weekday rate provides a good value, however at $100+ for the weekend is bit too much for this course.
